Green Curry Paste, Authentic Thai Green Curry Paste for Thai Curries & Other Dishes, Aromatic Blend of Herbs, Spices & Shrimp Paste, (14oz Tub) (25469)

I've attempted to make Thai curry on several occasions. What I come up with is typically good, but not quite like going to a Thai restaurant. This curry paste makes green curry like a 5 star restaurant, and was so much easier than me trying to put something together from scratch. It does run a bit spicy for most people, but I found that if I add lime juice, the spiciness subsides a lot! I made the best curry I and my partner have ever had with this stuff. 1 part coconut milk to 2 parts chicken stock, used the paste as instructed (maybe a little extra). Velveted chicken and simmered it in the sauce with veggies (bell pepper, zucchini, carrot, broccoli, onion, and star anise). I added the star anise as I could not get Thai basil - apparently this helps add the extra flavor that standard basil lacks. Added a big handful of regular sweet basil once everything was cooked through. Crazy good! If this stuff goes out of stock, it's probably because I bought it all.

The best red curry brand I have found. Lots of flavor and spice. A better value than supermarket brands

Delicious. Spicy but not overly so. Flavorful and works well with it without coconut milk. Versatile: Only wish the price would stabilize, but that’s a different issue (tariffs and algorithm). Purchased for $3.87 in March 2026

I have used a store bought Green curry for years. I was shocked how the flavor of this Green curry was so rich that our standard Thai dish tasted completely different. It is so full bodied that it brought out the flavor of all the other ingredients but at no point over powered anything else. Perfect heat level for my family, just enough kick to let you know there is magic in the dish. Then why only 4 stars? This curry comes in a plastic bin and packaged in just a bubble wrapped bag. The delivery person just threw it on our porch, as seen on our ring camera, and the plastic bin was split open, I assume from being thrown. Lucky the curry is in a sealed plastic bag inside. The bin was to be used after it was opened. If you like Green curry buy this, you will not be disappointed unless the delivery person is really a baseball player.

Every curry paste by this brand is worth having. They are shelf stable so whenever there is a price drop, I want to order at least two or three so that I have my variation of flavors. They are an excellent buy!

OMGosh! This is the best tasting paste out there! Be careful though! It is spicy, try using half of what is on the directions and add more if needed. A little goes a long way! There is so many other ways you can use this paste other than curry! Will totally buy this again!

Quality ingredients and versatile in the kitchen!

I ordered both the green and red curry pastes made by Mae Ploy after reading a recommendation in "Sous Vide at Home," a great book that I have on Kindle. I make red curry dishes frequently and always used Thai Kitchen brand. But the teeny jars were not to my liking and I wasn't crazy about their green curry. The Mae Ploy red is super, but it was the green that's our new favorite. I used it for the first time last week when I was preparing dishes for a private-chef client who's on a low, low carb diet for his recently diagnosed diabetes 2 and wanted to make him something punchy and flavorful. Not only did he love the dish, but he gave some to his mother-in-law (who's also diabetic) and she loved it, too. My husband cruised by the kitchen when I was cooking, intrigued by the delicious aromas and was disappointed that it was for Bruce and not for us. So over the weekend, I made green curry halibut and shrimp "burgers," and they were such a success I'm making the same thing for Bruce's wife who's a pescatarian; the first dish featured chicken thighs.. I appreciate that Mae Ploy uses all real ingredients in their curry paste and the generous amount in the package means I don't have to go through lots of little jars. The heat level is perfect. It's hotter than the red, but not so spicy that you can't taste the other flavors in the dish. And if you can't tell that I'm all about the green curry right now, I'm using it again tonight in a pork and vegetable dish for company. We eat a paleo diet with lots of vegetables and with some coconut milk and few other additions to the curry paste plus some meat or seafood, I can make a healthy dish with huge flavors that's easy to prepare. Win, win, win.
