I purchased these purely to experiment. So far, I have used them in a couple of ways all involving the shower/bath, and am pleased with the purchase.These arrive as "shards", reminds me of Krypton except its not green :-).Much to my surprise, are way stronger than I was expecting. First time I opened the package, I sealed it right back, went to get gloves and only handled it after wearing gloves. For some reason, my cat immediately took an interest in the scent. Beware.I tried placing a couple of said shards/crystals in the shower, and while it served the purpose, I had a hard time preventing it from finding its way into the drain. I have since improvised by leveraging a diy teabag and it works beautifully.The other use, I ran out of my menthol shampoo which I purchased here on Amazon - one of those that utilized very limited ingredients and no harmful chemicals. Unfortunately, it is no longer available here and so I bought another variety that also advertises chemical-free daily use easy on hair properties, but it is not menthol. Now that I have this product, I melted some in hot water and mixed it with the shampoo - and voila, I am back in business!

I had never seen menthol crystals before, and so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this bag and saw a bunch of long, glittery crystals. They look more like something from inside a geode, or an ancient underground cave, than the little salt-like crystals I had been imagining.They are very strong, too. I look forward to including them in my bath bombs, but I for sure won't need to use very many of them.They come double sealed with a desiccant, so they don't melt/dissolve. If they ever do get wet and dissolve, there are even instructions on how to recrystallize them.An awesome and very useful product.

100% menthol crystals are very strong and effective; that means handle with care. Wear gloves when mixing with other ingredients and avoid inhaling while combining ingredients. It is flammable while in crystalline form. These crystals can be used to create a foot soak, candles, soap making, etc. I ordered this to alleviate the pain of tendonitis in my foot. It was challenging to find a "recipe" for the correct ratio of water, Epsom salts and menthol crystals. There are many recipes online that include many different ingredients but I didn't see anything with just those three. I ended up with about one gallon of water, a quarter cup of Epsom salts and three teaspoons of menthol crystals (too much!). When used as a foot soak it is numbing and that distracts from any pain. There was a strong cooling reaction in my foot.

Oh, like others I have, these are fairly large crystals. You’ll neither either melt them down or crush them before use.

These pure menthol crystals are great. As noted in the description, they have a lot of applications. I like them for a shower or even a hot bath when I'm congested. Just let them melt in the water or steam to produce menthol vapors for soothing relief. They are natural and don't have an overpowering menthol odor. I don't make soaps, but if I did I think these would be nice because they aren't too strong.

Easily dissolves in just about any solvent, and can blend with essential oils. I mixed up some in perfumers alcohol and put into a small spray bottle to spray on my arms and back of neck during hot days. It's like an instant personal, cooling system!Great for making your own mint candy, or added to fragrance for that icy, fresh smell. There's really so many uses.Came sealed in nested foil packs, which I appreciate. Purity is spot on from my tests.

I find the smell of menthol incredibly soothing when I have a head ache or a cold. So far, I have been using liquid menthol essential oil, but these crystals are much better to work with and much more economical. After a long, stressful day at work, I added a few of the crystals to hot water and inhaled the vapors. It helped me to breathe easy and feel better instantly. After a long hike, I used the crystals in a warm foot bath which was very effective in soothing my cramping feet. It's great to have a nice big bag of these crystals. It will last me through the winter. The zipper bag that the crystals come in is not ideal for easy access to the product and for keeping out moisture. I transferred mine to a tightly sealing jar for long-term storage.

First, I'd like to mention how much I appreciate that this is double-bagged. When you open the main bag, there's a spoon and another bag inside. This is a great choice because of how strong the menthol is.I've been using these for clearing my sinuses, and for use in soap/shampoo making. The crystals are extremely strong! A small fragment of a crystal is usually too much for a single bar of soap.With the quantity included and how strong they are, I feel like I'll never run out of these. But if I do, I will absolutely be purchasing these again! The current price is great!I highly recommend having this around your house! This is a necessary addition to my medicine cabinet.
