Best cheap non-Apple mp3 player I've found, currently less than $7, sounds just as good as my iPod.
The least expensive mp3 player I've ever purchased, but the best non-iPod mp3 player I own. I bought 5 different types of cheap mp3 players to test & compare (at my own expense, no freebies). This is the best, but was also the cheapest, at just $3.07 (it now lists closer to $7 from a variety of sellers -- still a bargain at that price). Works great, no screen or menu, but very easy to navigate (just play, stop, next song, last song, volume up, volume down). Came with a lanyard to hang around neck. Recharges by plugging into any USB port. Sound quality is really good for the price, does not have the hiss that many cheaper mp3 players have, and battery life is surprisingly long: about 2 hours at very loud volume and more than 7 hours at what I would consider normal volume. I use LWZCAM earbuds (only $2 apiece but some of the best earbuds I've ever purchased -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MQGTP7Y). This mp3 player was an exceptional value for just three bucks, and is still a bargain at under $7. Nice to have mp3 players I don't have to worry about losing, damaging, or getting wet, so I will be buying more of these. Only gripe is that it does not have shuffle mode. It does, however, pick up wherever you left off the last time, so it will go through your entire playlist over multiple uses, before starting over at the beginning. Requires a micro-SD card, which is sold separately. I paid less than $8 for a 2-pack of cards. Each holds more than 2000 songs. Highly recommend this mp3 player for the beach, on the water, etc. It's not waterproof, but if you lose it or break it or get it wet, it won't cost much to replace, unlike an iPod. If I could give it 4 & 1/2 stars, I would.
