This was my second purchase of this product. The other one just wore out. I have decent knives, but not top shelf. For my purposes, this sharpener works great and makes a very sharp edge. Very easy to use and a nice size that will fit n the drawer.

This is the first knife sharpener that actually keeps working over time. Every other one I bought has stopped sharpening after a few months of use.

I use this sharpener very frequently but have to buy a new one annually.It does a respectable job of keeping my kitchen knives sharp.As the months of use to by, the sharpening stones do a less effective job.It's an inexpensive item so I guess that's to be expected.

This is my second ChefsChoice sharpener. The first lasted about 4 years.Works great for lefties as well as righties. Makes food prep a breeze. I was willing to spend more but none of the others stated they could also be used by lefties. Good for me….i saved $$$

Great sharpener- use it constantly, at least once or twice a week- it puts a great edge on most of my knives by itself (90%) and I only have to use a steel or stone after for some finer honing on nicer blades. But one or two swipes through each section makes a great sharp edge! Very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend for novice and expert alike !

Reading some of this sharpener's other reviews, you would think it could turn butter knives into samurai swords. Hardly. Does it work? Yes, but the sharpener is small, rather hard to hold firmly, and requires a lot more back-and-forth motion than the highly exaggerated "It sharpened my kitchen knives in just 4-passes." Yeah, right. 30-40 passes on each slot setting and you might be getting close to an acceptable edge. Will the knife be sharp? It will, but the edge will be imperfect and it will dull fast as the bevel will be off. Will the sharpener last? With irregular use, I would give this a year before the stones wear past usefulness. Truth, a powered rotary sharpener with real honing stones will outlast and be cost-saving versus this.

This machine works so well, I bought a bunch for my hunting crew to have. Sharpens fast and shave sharp.

Salut !Rempli sa fonction d'aiguiseur surtout pour mon couteau japonais Sekyriu qui revit du fait que la lame se soit usé au fil du temps.J'aiguise mes autres couteaux aussi avec car il aiguise les deux types de couteaux !
