This first volume of the band’s complete recorded output comes in both limited-edition 180-gram heavyweight vinyl and CD box sets, each featuring Def Leppard’s first four studio albums — along with some choice bonus live and studio material — all spread across 8LPs and 7CDs, respectively. The Volume One collection contains all of Def Leppard’s iconic 1980s recordings – On Through The Night, High ‘N’ Dry, Pyromania and Hysteria - with reproductions of the original packaging in both formats. Furthermore, this collection includes a replica 7-inch single and 3-inch CD of the band’s original independent EP, the self-titled The Def Leppard E.P.The Volume One collection also houses bonus material including Live At The LA Forum 1983, originally released as a bonus disc in the deluxe CD version of Pyromania, making this the first-ever vinyl offering of the complete show. This 2LP version comes with a new sleeve and inner bags. The box set also includes Rarities Volume 1 which has been specially compiled by Joe Elliott, containing rare B-sides and recordings from Def Leppard’s early years, all in a newly commissioned sleeve. Each album in the box set was mastered by longtime band producer/soundmaster Ronan McHugh and cut by Greg Moore. Housed in rigid boxes, the Volume One collection also contains a hardback book with rare photos by longstanding band confidant Ross Halfin and liner notes by Classic Rock’s Paul Elliott. Def Leppard bandmembers Joe Elliott, bassist Rick Savage, drummer Rick Allen, and guitarist Phil Collen have all also contributed their personal introductions to the collection.

Perfect Collection For Those New To Def Leppard
I am new to Def Leppard music and bought this collection as a good introduction. I was not disappointed on the content nor the price. What I do not understand is the 1* reviews nor do I understand why you would buy this collection if you already have all the albums? This collection is an ideal introduction to this great band and the very reason for this collection's existence needs to be put into proper context. The music is not 1* nor is this collection. I looked at the contents before I purchased and also considered the price for the number of albums contained. I have been very pleased with my purchase.

Definitive Leppard!
Wasn’t sure weather to take a chance on this box set, like many others, already have numerous pressings of what’s available. I’m glad I did, remasters are good but the live album is worth the price of admission alone. It is among the best I’ve heard! One minor gripe, no lid on the outer box but that’s just ocd on my part. If you are new to Def Leppard, or need to update your collection this is the box set for you! Can’t wait for the next round! On a sad note, was listening to On Through The Night and realised, it was only 11 years later Steve Clark was gone. Heartbreaking but, what a legacy...

Amazing
Amazing set, so glad they have finally decided to rerelease everything in a complete set, can’t wait for the 2nd set now, personally I haven’t got anything from the Leps on vinyl so this is such a treat for me, Iv seen a few fans complaining which is silly really as it’s just a complete set from that era, it was never really marketed as a box set of ratites but a remastered collection.

Lovely box set
This is a beautiful set and is very high quality. It does not contain any new tracks but is a great starting point if you have yet to buy the vinyl or CD's. As for the music, arguably the bands greatest decade covered and you get to hear how the band evolved and stretched like no other in the 80's. Timeless stuff.

Very good collection, the best part of Def Leppard, until Hysteria, the following albums, only ballads and copies of this hits.
