Trigun Volume 1: v. 1

My boyfriend has been looking for it for a long time, so I ordered it to surprise him. It arrived in good condition.

Trigun Volume 1 is a interesting look on the character Vash the Stampede in the anime Vash is given a lighter tone were as the graphic novel version is much more darker then the series know even though the series is based of the graphic novel the dialogue is slightly more sophisticated. My reason for giving this graphic novel five stars is because I enjoyed the artwork and the characters darker side which you don't see often enough in the series.

This manga is by far one of the best I have ever purchased. It has great quality drawings that are both serious and comical.It is set in a western style world but also has a futuristic and sci-fi theme as well. Of course the comedy theme breaks up the serious situations which works very well.The characters are original and interesting and Vash comes across as a very mysterious skilled but pacifist gunman.This really is a must buy for all trigun fans and it is worth every penny.

Trigun is an interesting manga to look at, whether you are new to the world of Japanese comic books or not. It's story is deep and humerous in places and its characters are all very memorable. Vash the Stampede makes a particulary interesting hero as it is unclear why such a gentle person has a $$60,000,000 price on his head. The Insurance Girls, Millie and Meryl are also add to the comedy value and it's fun trying to spot the black cat (Kuroneko-sama) who appears frequently throughout the manga. The only problem I really had with Trigun is that some of the action sequences - which are stunning in the anime - seem a little confused in the manga and so it makes parts of it a little hard to follow. Since the manga had a very action packed start, this put me off it a little but by the time one of the lesser villains (Brilliant Dynamites Neon) was introduced half way through the manga I was hooked. Trigun volume 1 is well worth a look at.

Trigun is the story of Vash the Stampede, a man so dangerous he's officially classified as a Localized Disaster! Vash is the fastest gun on the planet, which is something of a mystery considering he has vowed to never take another's life. He's the best there is, and considering there's a $$60 Billion Double Dollar bounty on his head, he'll have to be.Constantly in Vash's wake are Meryl and Millie, representatives of the Insurance Society. Sometimes they're useful, but mostly what they are is In The Way.Book 1 of Trigun features the story of Vash trying to evade bounty hunter after bounty hunter as the word of the 60 Billion Double Dollar reward spreads, and Vash's voyage aboard the sand-steamer "Flourish".Trigun reads like a futuristic western, (with Vash as the Clint Eastwood/John Wayne type) but in the traditional and undeniable manga style. A definate must-have.

Without spoiling anything, this is not like the anime. It will start that way, but later volumes you'll see what I mean.This volume arrived in great condition. The art is awesome and it's neat to see the humble beginnings of a story that shaped my childhood.

Watched the Anime years ago and fell in love with the world of Trigun and Vash. This is a great book and its awesome to see where the Anime stemmed from and what they changed for the show. This is a lovely book that I will treasure.
