Old school phone. Brand new condition
I only need a small basic phone. This does everything I want it to do, and it looks smart too.

Item did not arrive, no refund from seller
The item I ordered did not arrive, and on top of this the seller did not reply to two of my emails I sent him regarding a refund request, therefore I had to file a claim in order to get my refund from amazon.Rubbish service, highly unrecommended.

Known Issues: defective screen
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE:Although the phone itself is great, and the interface is easy to use, I have had the screen break not once, but twice- in just 6 months. I'm not particularly rough with my phone, and it seems i'm not the only with the problem- google it if you like. The screen is not actually that hard to replace, and there are replacements available on the internet, but it's really very annoying! Also, the buttons tend to crack down the middle, still usable, and replaceable, but GRRRRR. I'm going to enjoy throwing this POS against my wall when I get a new phone (and then recycling it, obviously).

It Is Usable, But Not Great
This phone is aesthetically nice, I have this in the pink, and functionally it performs fairly well. I bought this as an 'upgrade' to the w800i, but aside from the fact that it is a slimmer design, it does not offer much more interest than that. The camera is of the same picture quality, with the additional ability to record for longer video sections than the w800i. The downside of the camera is that it needs a much steadier hand in order to produce a good image. The battery life is reasonable, but again, nothing to get excited about. It has a 'neat' little function which allows you to shuffle the songs on the walkman, but only if you take the phone out of your pocket, press the walkman button and shake it. By the time you have hassled around with that you may just as well have switched the song through the normal route. I also advise you adding a phone charm before trying this function that way if you almost drop the phone, whilst shaking it around, you can wind the charm round your fingers so as not to end up with a broken phone. It contains some games, but you have only about a minute of each before being prompted to actually download the full version - presumably for an additional cost. The software of the phone is adequate but not particularly fast, and I feel that with time it will start to freeze, leaving the user with two options - either try and upgrade the software through your computer, or return the phone for a new model. The button layout is cute, and you get little side lights appear whilst you have the flip open, but the buttons are probably too tightly packed for any men to use easily, unless they have delicate little hands. My husband definitely could not use it easily.Overall, what I am trying to say is yes - it is a phone, yes it works, yes it has some extra functions - but NO, it is not a great phone, merely an adequate one.

Phone that helps you to lose weight... the ultimate
A lot has been said on here about this phone, but I'm surprised to find very little of it concerns the phone's excellent features to help with exercise. I bought the phone because I wanted a better camera than on my old Sony, but quickly found that it had a built in pedometer which has changed my life. Without me having to do anything, remember anything, it accurately records how far I've walked in a day, so that I finally found out what a couch potato I am.So with my phone in hand, I started off walking trying to hit 5000 steps a day. Honestly, using the phone I lost more than half a stone in three months and also am just fitter generally. It also has settings for running, measuring roughly how far you've run, and awards you virtual medals when you hit a new high. Now this may sound silly, but actually it's fantastic. It really is. Silly things can motivate you, and I found it really good.It also has an absolutely huge memory for photos and video, which has several times been extremely useful with work. The only downside of this phone is that actually it's not the best quality speaker in the world, and often I have trouble understanding what someone is saying on the other end! But exercise-wise it's a great phone and I wish Sony would hurry up and make an updated model, i don't want to have to switch brands...

Sony Ericsson W580- feature packed pedometer
This is my second W580, the first suffered a screen failure after 3 years. I replaced it because it counts your steps which is a great aid to fitness. With a built-in phone, decent camera and music application, it's always in in my pocket.
