Very nice train set worked perfectly under the Xmas tree. Sound quality was very good. Played Xmas music, very nice. Will expand the track next Xmas to go along the wall and around the fireplace and back to the xmas tree

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift, well-packaged, solid quality. He especially loves the steam feature and the fact that he can use his phone with it, too.

I am very happy with the train set. I have always wanted a Christmas train for the tree but the ones I looked at were plastic and cheaply made but inexpensive around 50.to 60 dollars and ran on batteries. This is well made the engine is metal and the cars are made of heavy plastic but well built, the train runs on a transformer so no batteries except for the remote, the track has a base so no need for making a base for the track we run ours on carpet it is very sturdy. I would recommend this train, it is a little more expensive but well worth it, instead of a train that will last a few years this will be passed down for generations, I think it was well worth the money

The train tender was broken under wheels. The packaging was "off". Some of the tissue used to wrap train cars was torn and wrinkled like it had been used before. The train cars were not secured within the packaging to keep them from falling out. This is the 2nd Lionel train I've purchased within the last few weeks that was broken or did not operate at all. Same retail source?? Don't think I'll be buying any more Lionel trains thru Amazon. Don't have much confidence left in your sources.

Great, with the app for better remote... nice train, heavy, smokes, light and whistle. Can record xmas songs with the app.
