Good Source of Non-Frozen Green Tripe
Quality, low-heat processed canned green tripe should provide many of the same benefits as fresh or even frozen raw green tripe, but some heat sensitive contents, such as probiotics and digestive enzymes, may be lost in the canning process. Also extra ingredients may be added to the product such as garlic, carrageenan or guar gum for thickeners. If you have access to frozen green tripe that is the best as it is not processed and no added ingredients. But if you don't have access, don't have a big freezer or you just want to keep a backup for if the power goes out, this is a really good second choice. As far as a canned green tripe product goes, this is a quality product and this seller has it at a fair price so I gave it a five for those reasons. (If you compare it to fresh raw green tripe from a butcher it would probably be a 3.)

Ugh But The Dog Loves It
Nothing about green tripe smells good. Dr Seuss could devote an entire book to it."Does it smell good in a pan? Does it smell good only sealed in a can? Could it be, could it be it smells like the shat has hit the fan after escaping the can?"OK but it smells better than the "fresh" non canned stuff. I often wonder if there is benefit for the dog in eating this, given the tripe has been cooked and canned. But she loves it.Buy the size can you can use for one feeding of your dog, or dogs, and don't plan on saving some for another meal. It is not the leftover your fridge will love. Did I mention the dog loves it?Dogs like to roll around in dead things and take great delight in doing that job well. My kid and I don't share that sentiment and don't enjoy the death breath from this stuff either. A can of this stuff is her all access hall pass to lounge on the couch, alone, with it all to herself, all night. Maybe that's what so appealing to her.....Did I mention she loves it? We love her and death breath is little to put up with occasionally for her to be happy.

My dogs live it
I feed raw and finding green tripe isn’t easy or cheap.. This product is perfect to have for them. Yeah as the reviews say it isn’t the most pleasant of smells , but as a raw believe none of it is. But this can smells better than a bag of raw tripe. So glad I found this to add the perfect balance of food for them.

Nutrition yumminess for puppies
The media could not be loaded. Both my German shepherd puppies love this! They eat it like it’s candy. It stinks to high heaven but then it’s for my puppies not me and it not only gives them vital nutrients but keeps their coats healthy and their outdoor “business” normal.

Best for picky eaters
I’ve never had a dog turn away from eating green tripe. Dogs love this food, and it’s nutritional value is beneficial to them

Apple Cider Vinegar Removes the Smell - The Dogs Devour Every Bite
I've been hearing about green beef tripe since we switched to raw. We recently received an offer of 300# of tripe at a crazy cheap price (now I know why it's cheap), but before I destroyed a freeze with the smell of fresh tripe, I decided to order a case of canned. We still didn't know how bad it smelled.Someone described the smell as "satan's butthole." I agree. It's awful. The first time I opened a canned, I initially thought that it wasn't that bad. So the moron that I am lifted the open can to my nose and took a whiff. I could smell tripe for 3 hours. The dogs recognize the can now and sit patiently while I prepare their food. They love it. We split 1-2 cans between 4 dogs 2x a week.Next time, I'm ordering 2-3 cases.Kimberly, Keep the Tail Wagging

Black sludge
After the vet told me she was worried about my ten-year-old husky's kidney function (she had seemed fine to me) I did online research and discovered green tripe. It had never occurred to me before that when canines eat prey, the prey is likely to have undigested grass or leaves in their gut, which becomes part of the canine's diet, and which is good for it. And Sasha had been chewing on grass. Now it made sense why she was doing that. So I ordered a case of this. I was happy with the first case I bought and would have given it 4 stars It was softer than I expected--I thought tripe should be chewy--but she loved it and I was confident that it was providing her nourishment. It didn't smell that bad, either. But the second case was totally different. Instead of a tan color, it was dark brown, and even softer than the first batch. to be honest, it looked and smelled like a can of diarrhea without any evidence of organ meat at all. She still liked it, but not only am I wary about feeding it to her , I think its potential for contaminating my kitchen makes cleanup exceptionally troublesome. I don't want to give up on green tripe, but I don't think I'll be buying this brand again anytime soon.
