I love how these feel and look. And they do not slip. But my elderly mother, and my husband who has navigation issues, had to be extra careful the first few days of using the stairs with these treads in place. They do move about. I have put down two-sided carpet tape to keep them in place. Otherwise, just great!

The product came stained. The rubber on the bottom is as smooth as can be. The rugs slide all over the place

I purchased these because my dog is afraid of hardwood stairs or floor. He refused to go up or down the stairs after the rug was removed. These look nice, they are easy to clean, and they don't move much. They were bent so they didn't sit perfectly flat right away. Because of this we were concerned that they would move when we walked on them. After a day they settled and sat flat. They stay in position and do not slip or slide. We considered having them nailed to the steps but they are thin and soft and washing them in the washer makes so much more sense.

I'll start with my two minor complaints: The non-slip backing is not as "non-slip" as some other stair treads I have used. They are still fairly secure and has not posed a problem, but I noticed it when comparing to others I have in the house (all on wood stairs). That said, installation is a lot easier than some other products. I've used treads that had a plastic film on each tread I had to carefully and painstakingly remove, but these come ready to throw on the stairs out of the bag (just snip off the tag on the bottom of each tread). They are not adhesive.My other complaint is the treads came folded, so there is a little hump in the middle once I unfolded them and put them on the stairs. I recommend spending some time putting weights on top to get these flattened out. This issue will fix itself over time, but thought I should mention it.Other than that, these are great treads at a good price (currently $63). They are pretty soft and look nice (I got the gray/beige). I'll comment that the width of my set was closer to 8.25 inches instead of the advertised 8 inches, which was not a problem since I had some wiggle room. The length is spot on at the advertised 30 inches. Be sure to properly clean the stairs before putting these on to maximize the effectiveness of the non-slip backing.The issues I mentioned really make this closer to a 4.5 star item, but I rounded down since the non-slip effectiveness just was not quite as good as others, although those were admittedly a bit more expensive. I still can recommend these.

These were easy to affix to the stairs and look great. The treads help a lot with people not slipping on the slick wooden stairs. Great material and non slip!
