We stamp our documents in the upper right hand corner of the document. The video shows the stamping being done on the side of the document?

The printing occurs perpendicular, not parallel, to the edge of the side that is inserted. If you want to print in the top right corner, there is a setting to rotate the imprinted text 180 degrees so it reads properly depending on your desired print location (versus upside down).

can you program the name of the person who will be using this stamp?

Yes. You can print a name or initials in addition to the Date and Time. You can completely customize 1 or 2 lines of printing using Lathem's free website www.setupmystamp.com. You are allowed a total of 24 regular characters, or 28 small characters (including spaces) per line. Once you setup your configuration online, you transfer it to the unit using any standard USB Flash Drive. The unit allows four unique print sets, and you can change which print set to use by pressing a button on top of the time stamp.

Can machine be mounted to the wall?
