Wanted to help clean air during the summer when doors and windows are all closed up. Haven’t noticed a difference in smell but my allergies have been kept at bay all spring. Units don’t make noise.

I'd recommend trying them and, if you're someone who needs evidence to verify (which is reasonable), purchase an indoor air quality monitor to test. Regardless, the improvement in the air/smell lasted some time. Perhaps I've grown accustomed to its effects, and now the clean smell is no longer as pronounced. I really don’t notice much difference in having these plugged in was hoping they would work better . I have one in each room and one near my cats pan but it don’t help much with the smell.

They help reduce odors. My father-in-law lives in an assisted living facility. He is 91 and preferers to keep his room closed up. Because of this his room smells...unpleasant. I have installed 3 of these units and they do help although they do not eliminate the odors. I recommend them to help with normal household odors.
