These bits look really cool with the diamone-like coating. I ordered them for my CNC router project to use on aluminum, but I haven't got it up and running yet. I did some test cuts in my manual milling machine, but you really need higher rpm's to make these things shine. They work great on the manual mill but I have to feed quite slowly. All 5 of the bits look fantastic and have extremely sharp edges. So far so good, and I'll give an update when I get the chance to spin them up on the CNC.

Cutting at 24000RPM,24IPM feed, 10IPM plunge, 0.0625DOC and 40% Stepover and it is working great, no coolant, no air.

If you're slotting aluminum with a desktop CNC router like a shapeoko these are what you need. Something about the coating stops chip welding when cutting dry.

I have been using these on smaller desktop CNC milling machines with good results. They have been holding their edge well when used on Aluminum. I have been using air blast on the spindle to evacuate chips and offer some sort of cooling effect which may have contributed to the life of these. I am still on my first bit with many many hours of running without any noticeable defects in surfaces of machined parts.

I have a low powered home mini mill and these work great for aluminum. Don't have enough hours on them to speak to durability but they cut well and I am happy with them.
