Must have, Best Tip Tool I've ever owned.
Best pool multi-tool I've ever owned. By miles. I've convinced a few people on my pool league team to buy it, and they say the same. This thing is perfection in every way. Trims mushrooming, shapes, burnishes, scuffs, etc. It has the same mechanism as some other companies 'Gator Grip' (which is impossible to find nowadays for some reason), yet is 1/3rd the price and works just as well, among its other uses.

Essential Cue Tip Kit — Sharpens, Shapes, and Lasts
Perfect little kit for anyone serious about keeping their cue tips in game-ready shape. The WIILGN Pool Cue Tip Shaper and replacement tips work exactly as they should. The shaper quickly rounds and profiles worn tips without fuzz or digging grooves. The replacement tips included are nice quality — not cheap, thin stuff you find in bargain packs. Installing them was straightforward, and trimming went smooth with the sandpaper roll. I noticed an immediate difference in ball control once I reshaped my cue. For the price, this kit gives you everything you need to maintain your own cue tips at home — no more guessing at contour or having to take your cue to a shop every time it needs a touch-up.

I wanted to love it.
I want to love it, but it just doesn't seem to be able to trim the tip flush to the shaft. Also seems to take a lot of effort to shape the end and the end result isn't as smooth as I expected. I am a rank amateur at pool cue maintenance, but I'm also very handy so I suspect the tool is the problem.

Get a Metal Shaper, Not This Plastic One
It works quite well, but there are other options made of metal, and I would choose them rather than this plastic one. Also, if you like "flatter" tips, it DOESN'T have a diameter of a nickel or quarter. The largest diameter is a dime size and many people, including me, prefer a nickel diameter so I had to purchase a stand-alone shaper that is dime diameter. UPDATE: My recommendation to buy a metal shaper instead of plastic has turned out to be important. I was vigorously shaping a tip in the 9.5mm shaper and the plastic melted and flowed into the cutting area and it no longer works. I'm going to try to return it, but if they won't take it back, I'll buy a metal one and throw away the plastic one.
