Although you only get to the ‘how to’ part of the book half way through- there are more designs than I expected and I was especially pleased to find the budgerigars and sparrows included. I can’t wait to get started.

This is without doubt a beautiful book, which provides clear detail to enable even a beginner to create stunning animal pom poms.Having bought the French version before this one was published, I have used it to springboard my own designs; Trikotri creates and inspires creation in others by providing the means to learn the basis of the art. Trikotri is simply a bye word for animal pom pom art.If you have the French version this does not appear to provide additional designs, despite the different number of animals stated, but some images are clearer.Tips for use: be generous with the wool, natural wool works better than man made does and be ruthless with the scissors. The most common beginner error is to be reluctant to cut, as it results in a less sculpted finished product.

lovely book detailed photos. step by step on how to trim the pompoms. made some pompoms out of scrapes to practise with can make them smooth with no stick out strands but not yet tried sculpted the animal faces. the book shows you how with step by step pictures and writing on how to turn them has you go. 2019 first thing to have a go at new looking forwards to the challenge.
