Great device - you'll need to buy BluRay software on top
Great device. Easy to install but be warned there is no BluRay Movie software bundled with the drive so you will need to buy this separately!

Noisy not Silent
Ok it's a Blue-ray reader writer and it reads and writes Blue-ray discs as well as regular CDs/DVDs but the claim that it's silent is very misleading. In use it is very noisy, thankfully it is used infrequently.

I cannot remember if it came with software, all I can say is it is a fantastic drive. On the software front I always go to the manufactures (i.e. Asus) web site and download the latest drivers from there.

super for BD-R discs of different variety
ASUS quality drive, super for BD-R discs of different variety. Not so good for CD Audio ripping, but already have other drives for that.
