I bought this to take our 5 month old baby floating the river for sun protection. It's a little dorky but it does the job! It ended up raining a bit and kept the baby dry too! It does catch the wind, but the chin strap does a good job of keeping it on. Its also great how compact it folds up to so you don't have to wear it the whole time. It's pretty easy to take out and fold up.

It works well for shielding the sun while watching outdoor sports. I also purchased a couple more as gifts for fishermen and they live them.

My first one broke after a couple of uses, but I have to admit, I was a little rough with it to try to get it opened in a hurry during a sudden shower burst while shopping. I bought another one anyway - price is good and it is really useful in that I use it when I am pushing my elderly mother in a wheelchair while she has her own umbrella to keep dry. This hat-umbrella is just the right size - any bigger and it would be unwieldy; any smaller and it would not keep me totally dry the way it does. So far, since I use a little care to open and close, I've had no problems. It is not the most comfortable thing to wear and I'd pay more if there was a little padding on the head wraparound and strap, but I can live with it as-is. Staying dry while having my hands free is worth it. I would definitely recommend this item.

It’s so cheap!Can’t argue too much because that was expected for the price but seriously pointless unless you plan on using it away from any breeze and don’t plan on closing it up ever again… cause otherwise the simplest breeze will take it off your head or blow it down in your face… and closing and opening it will cause simple tears

Not sure how well it will hold up but I'm loving it so far!! Its as big as a big umbrella and it fits snug over my ball cap!! Kinda hard to get it to bloom out but once its out it feels sturdy!! Cant wait to use it on the lake on a hot sunny day!!

Product is bad. I’m sure there are other sellers that make a better product, but this one is a waste of time. I purchased it so I could unload my groceries from the car in the rain. I forgot I had it, and it sat unopened in the box for several months. Today is a rainy day so I thought I’d try it out… I took it out the packaging to discover that several of the umbrella prongs are already broken. I didn’t even get a chance to use it 1x. I also really don’t like the design of it. I can tell even without using it that it would’ve been flimsy and hard to open and close. I recommend finding another seller.

Worth it I say. Especially now that we have a 89 degree weather most of the time.

If skin cancer is an issue for you but you love outdoor activities (for me it's fishing) this hat ( Anybody else remember them from the movie BladeRunner?) can help you. Not in big wind of course but other than that restriction it blocks rays that want to cook your face and skull and neck and shoulders.I bought two. One in the Jeep and one in the bag.
