It's not a joke, nor is it some overblown sales hype. There's some significant steel in this genuine gym equipment storage rack. It's stout and strong, and, at $44.99 (the price at the time this review was written), it's reasonably priced. If you're like me, you've got more exercise equipment lying about than you have space to store it all in. Hence, like me, you need to hang a bunch of it on the wall(s), but it isn't easy to find high quality storage racks at reasonable prices. With this rack you may have found a satisfactory solution, but in order to bear a lot of weight you will have to part with a not insignificant amount of cash. There's no free lunch, buddy.One thing to note: Do NOT mount this rack on any wall with the enclosed molly bolts. That's just stupid. They will never hold the weight. This rack needs to be mounted securely into a pair of vertical 2x4 studs that lay behind the drywall in every ordinary residential wall. Please don't take offence if you already know this: there's always 18" from the center of one stud to the next if a home, condo, apartment, or garage is built according to code. Make sure you find 'em and mount each end of this rack in a stud properly. Then, when this rack is heavily loaded, you'll be in great shape with no worries. To do otherwise is courting disaster.I think this is a good design. I just wish the rack was longer. If you're like me you're probably going to need two (or more). If so, count your blessings because you've got a lot of equipment to get healthy or buff with, you just need a place to store it all when it's not in use. Also, this rack will make a great gift if you know someone who has this same problem. 5 stars

I recently added this small steel storage rack to my home gym, and let me just state that this is worth a purchase if you are looking to keep your space organized.The rack is made of heavy duty alloy steel, and sports a clean, simple design that works well with any gym setup - in my case, this is in my home gym, so clean easy storage is a must for my small space. This rack can comfortably hold multiple items and keep them organized - I'm talking resistance bands, grip handles, jump ropes, as well as dumbbell and curling bars. The distance between hooks is 1.5" and there are 9 lower hooks and two upper hooks. There are a couple of holes in the outer hooks on either end that allow you to hook carabiners or other s-hook items that increase the storage.The rack comes with the necessary mounting hardware , and installation was straightforward. Do make sure that you're considering where you're mounting this - I mounted mine to an overhead beam in my basement gym, but if you are mounting on a wall, be mindful to use anchor brackets that can support the weight you put on this rack or attach into studs so that you're finding yourself with gaping holes in the wall.Considering the quality of the material and the functionality it adds to my gym, I feel this storage rack is worth the investment. It’s an affordable way to keep your workout space tidy and maximize the use of your space, especially in a home gym.

When I first got the package I was surprised by the weight. I tossed it on the scale and it weighs five pounds. It is a very sturdy rack that should hold a wide range of things.The bottom pegs are bent from the backplate so they are strong. The top two just have terrible welds but are more than enough for a foam roller. The included mounting screws are pretty useless. Like other have said, use lag screws into a stud.Overall this is an excellent rack for the price and I wish I had more than one.

Ordered this for the small home gym I've set up in our basement. We have some basic yoga and pilates stuff down there, and the pilates bar has bands and extra bar sections that can hang here. Exercise bands fit well too. The design is simple and effective and the rubberized grip on the top surfaces is a nice touch that will help keep the equipment from sliding off the hooks. I like the cutout logo, too.

I ordered the gym equipment storage rack for my home gym.The rack arrived safely securely packed by the manufacturer and also included instructions, 2 carbineers and mounting hardware.The rack is made of sturdy high quality steel. Its 21 inches long and extends out 6 inches.I followed the instructions and had no problem mounting the rack to the wall.This has made a significant difference in my home gym. I no longer have powerbands, cable attachments, barbells, etc... flung around my workout area. Keeping my workout out area uncluttered and organized has led to my workouts being done quicker and safer, as I am no longer twisting my ankles stepping on/over gym accessories.This is a much needed, easily affordable upgrade to my home gym, easily 5 stars!
