Works as advertised.
The drive trays from Thermaltake MAX-1562 Backplane HDD Cage Hot Swap Removable Hard Drive Kits 2.5-Inches SAS/SATA RAID Ready RC1600101A are interchangeable. These appear to be a 100% duplication with connectors, switches, fans and other components all being precisely and identically positioned, labeled and shaped. However, This product functions at 6GB/s (SATA III) for controllers and devices that are SAS/SATA III. Being an owner of a MAX-1562, I was surprised to find these so much alike. The only visible difference is the color of the slider latch and the decals on the trays. The documentation that comes with this device state that it is a SATA I & II device, but that is wrong. There is only 1 caveat to this and the MAX-1562: the mounting screws have to be really short, or they lock the middle trays in place (if there is a drive mounted to the tray.) This can be a problem if your case has certain types of tool-less drive mounts, which I do... Still giving it 5 stars.
