Child Safety Net - 10ft L x 2.5ft H, Balcony, Patios and Railing Stairs Netting, Safe Rail Net for Kids/Pet/Toy, Sturdy Mesh Fabric Material (White)

This strong net provided a good, strong deterrant to a toddler at the top of the steps. Easy to attach with the enclosed plastic stays, but the stays are hard to remove (I had to cut them off).

I bought 2 of these for our home. We have a openloft on the second floor and recently bought a puppy. These definitely make her safe on the second floor of our home. They are very easy to attach to the banisters.

I got two of these nets to wrap around a spiral staircase (that goes from my entryway down to the basement) in preparation for my 18-month-old niece's visit to my very non-"child-friendly" house for Thanksgiving weekend. The nets themselves are well-made and can definitely take a beating. Installing the nets is a time-consuming process, though, since each string and zip-tie has to be fed through the mesh (the strings in particular are tough to feed through the mesh, since they're about the same diameter as the holes in the mesh). For real peace of mind, I felt like I needed to secure the mesh to every railing (my railings were about 9" apart), both at the top of the mesh and at the bottom--but the included strings don't secure as tightly as the zip-ties, and there weren't enough zip-ties in the package to secure both top and bottom, I ended up having to buy another bag of zip-ties at Home Depot to securely fasten the mesh. (I did use the strings to secure the top to the hand railing, as shown in the picture, but it really wasn't necessary with zip-ties along the top and bottom of the mesh.) But--once the mesh was installed, it was perfect for my needs. My niece was able to toddle around without her parents (or me) worrying about the stairs!

This product has a strong seam and strong mesh. They do provide string and zip ties to attach to railing etc. there are no loops at the ends or anything which would have made it easier on the ends. Its not sturdy in the sense that you can mount on the top and let it hang. It needs to be attached at top and bottom.

​I purchased this Adsoner Child Safety Net to secure my balcony railings, but unfortunately, I had to return it due to concerns about its quality and ability to stay securely installed. ​Durability (2/5 Stars): The mesh fabric was thin and felt like it could rip easy. While it might stop a very light toy, I didn't feel confident that it offered adequate safety protection for a child or larger pet if they leaned against it. ​Installation/Security (2/5 Stars): A major issue was that it did not stay tied down well. Despite attempts to secure it tightly, the ties didn't hold the netting securely against the railing, leading to sagging and gaps, which defeats the purpose of a safety net. ​Overall: The size (10ft L x 2.5ft H) was what I needed, and the white color was fine, but the fundamental issues with the material quality and ability to remain firmly secured meant I couldn't trust it. It’s an average product that needs better hardware and thicker mesh.

In some ways this is great, but badly made. The zip ties have no strength and break, the rope breaks easily. I wish there was a different way to mount it. I bought upgraded materials, such as zip ties and tie rope. Attached it as instructed, and I found my child would fall against it, and it would work as sandpaper against their face. The other item that would take place is they would lean against it, looking through at the area on the other side, and end up with marks over their face. The material feels a lot like fishnet I think about about seven of these to do my project. The return window is now closed and so I’m simply warning others. There might be better alternatives. The spindles on my stairs and balcony are a little wider than I’m comfortable with, with two little 10 lb. Dogs. I used to have nightmares about them fooling around playing & somehow falling through —so I got this. It’s super easy to attach with zip ties & the peace of mind is well worth it.
