Deep scent
Just finished off my third bottle. What I love is the scent. It’s deep and smells like a man. It doesn’t dry out my skin. The bottle is small which is nice for traveling but not so great for everyday use as I go through it quickly. It doesn’t take much and it suds up just fine. Wish they’d make a bigger pumper but until/unless then I’ll just keep buying the small ones. I really wish they’d put this scent into some quality shampoo and condition.

Needs a larger bottle.
The only complaint I have is that the bottle will run out quickly if this is your daily hair and body wash. It smells fantastic, lasts a long time and lathers extremely well. It doesn't dry out my skin or hair at all.

A Compare and Contrast with C.O. Bigelow Bay Rum Hair & Body Wash No. 1400
Last year, I decided I wanted to be a bit fancy, so I ordered some products from C.O. Bigelow, including their Bay Rum Hair & Body Wash. Just last week, the last drop of my supply of this product ran out, and I was not able to buy more because, uh, who's knows? For some reason, there is none and no indication when there will be more. So, I had to scrounge around and find another replacement. I landed on Rocky Mountain Barber Company's All-in-One Body Wash for Men. They are very different products, so I decided to do a compare and contrast between the two.C.O. Bigelow Bay Rum Hair & Body Wash: Size: 10 oz., $15.00 ($1.50 per oz)Rocky Mountain Barber Company's All-in-One Body Wash: 8 oz, $12.99 ($1.62 per oz)When I received the C.O.B. product, I was dismayed by how small the bottle is, a mere 10 fl oz. I was used to the much larger grocery store bottles. I decided to ration it and use it sparingly. It was amazingly effective. My first bottle was bought on July 27th, 2019 and I just used up my second bottle a week ago. Just a dab was sufficient to wash my hair and body. I measured out a thin line of the product about one finger length long. Even though I used a small amount, the scent was pleasant and not overpowering. I was impressed.Just last week, I had to say good-bye to C.O.B. and open up the R.M.B.C. product. Of course, I measured out the same amount. Immediately, I noticed the R.M.B.C. product is much thinner. It seems more watered down. I applied it to my hair and could barely work up a lather. I had to apply more product. This bottle is 8 fl oz, which is 2 oz less than the C.O.B. product, so it is not going to last nearly as long. It seemed to wash well enough when I doubled the dose, but never really lathered well. The scent also wasn't as nice. It has a more bright scent with a slight chemical after-scent. If I had bought this one first, I might have gone back to the grocery products.

Best Scent
This Cedar is by far the best scent of all the body washes I have tried. Down side it is pricey but worth it.

Disappointing
So I hate to leave a bad star review because no company deserves the negativity just from my opinion, but I have to say I was highly disappointed in being a first time customer. I got the birchwood scent, and honestly it stinks.

Horrible. Doesn't smell like Bay Rum at all.
Oh, where to begin? When I purchased this so-called "Bay Rum" shampoo, I was expecting to be transported to a tropical paradise, my senses awash in the sweet, spicy aroma of the Caribbean. Instead, what I got was an olfactory trip to the dumpster behind a cheap bar.First off, let's address the 'Bay Rum' claim. The only thing this shampoo has in common with Bay Rum is the word "Bay" on the label. I can only assume that the 'Rum' part refers to a vague memory the creators had of a rum-scented candle they once passed by in a store. The scent? Imagine, if you will, a blend of expired cologne, the tears of disappointed pirates, and a hint of what I can only describe as eau de gym sock. I used it once and my dog, who usually loves everything and everyone, looked at me like I betrayed him.Lather, rinse, repeat? More like lather, recoil in horror, and rewrite your will to exclude anyone who had a hand in making this aromatic atrocity. In conclusion, if you're looking for a shampoo that smells like the promised Bay Rum, keep looking. This product is more suited for someone looking to repel mosquitoes, skunks, and potential friends. Buy at your own risk and don't say I didn't warn you.

Doesn't smell like Birch at all. Not even a tiny bit.
I absolutely adore the smell of Birchwood. It smells vaguely like Root Beer or a slightly more woody wintergreen type smell. It's pretty rare to find anything scented like Birchwood, so when I saw this product, I had to order it immediately. The first thing I noticed upon its arrival was how small the bottle was. I double-checked and it does clearly state that it's 8 ounces, so that's my fault for not paying attention when I ordered it. Still, that works out to nearly $2 an ounce after factoring in tax and total cost. Pretty steep. If the product smelled like Birchwood, I would have been okay with it. Birch essential oil is, afterall, a more expensive essential oil. Unfortunately, I detected ZERO birchwood smell. Like, not even a hint of birch. The only scent I can pick up is a very slight citrus/orange/clean smell, but even that is lackluster. All in all, I regret buying this and would caution others as well. I do think the soap itself is higher than average quality -- which is the only reason I am leaving it two-stars -- but overall I would recommend skipping this one.
