I don’t have much experience with chalk paint. I got this because I loved the color. I painted it on a little picture frame to test, but I didn’t sand it first, which would have made a big difference.Tips:Make sure the thing you’re painting has been sanded, or has a surface that will grip the paint.Use the right kind of paint brush for your project.At least 2 coats are necessary, and make sure the first coat is fully dry before second coat.To prevent scratches, you’ll want to seal it with a clear, protective coating.

Apothecary Chalk paints are one of my favorite prants. They have bright colors that others don't and so far, they have always been super high coverage with a good amount of coverage no matter what you are painting.I am planning to use this on a smallish dresser for my bedroom. I already tested it on one drawer, it's just that I usually have some sorta crappy thrited stuff to paint and whatever color I use is always an improvement, but this time I have a brand new dresser that is a pure white (so boring) and I just feel in my bones that it would look a lot better in pink and purple. SO far, the drawer needed three coats of pink and it looks so so good!If you aren't a huge fan of this brightest pink, you can blend this with other colors, right on your piece, use a little water spritzing to get the chalk and clay to soften and voila, you are creating a one of a find masterpiece.Anyways, this wont be the last Daydream Apothecary I get. I do wish they had a lot more colors, like more purples and blues would be awesome.

My bench press/pull up contraption i use almost every day has reminded me why there are people who work at gyms whos entire job is to walk around wiping down the metal equipment. I have found out after owning that metal piece of athletic equipment; that the salt content has been breaking it down just like snow salt breaks down streets and cars in Ohio.This bringing up of rust and the breaking down of the first layer of metal is due to my user error in not cleaning the metal properly. I was worried that my cats would begin to lay on the rusted parts so i went to look for a unique paint that would cover the rust.This small can of vibrant purple from the Daydream Apothecary brand now has the lower section of that athletic contraption an animated purple that goes by the name of Hot Violet Purple.The chalky consistency made for a quick dry as well as the right kind of thickness; to get into all of the grooves on that already rough rusty metal bottom base area of the piece of equipment.This was dry in about five hours, with only a thick clumped region where the old coat of paint was damaged taking longer.I have allergies which makes me sensitive to strong paint smells so the fact that this was almost completely odorless was another plus.I chose the small can because that's all i needed, so i was able to shake the thing with my hands, resulting in an easy mixing/stirring process. I can tell based on the thickness; that if i were to have ordered a full gallon the stir process would have been fast.To conclude, i am happy with this paint and recommend it for application on wood as well as metal.

I wanted to add a pop of color in my daughter's room. This neon chalk paint looked like a good way to do that. The canister came well-sealed to prevent spills. Once I punctured the seal, I mixed the paint and got it ready for application. Unfortunately the paint was fairly thin, so left streaks and did not cover well on the first application. Several coats later it is better, but I wish it started out thicker.

This is a very nice paint. It is a very vibrant color and it coats very well.I only tested this in a small area. I am redoing my granddaughters room. She picked this color so I wanted to see how well it worked and the actual color. She loves it. Now we will be painting her dressers and bed frame. She is so excited.It coats well so the project will not take long at all. This has very low odor and is easy to use. I am very happy so far and cant wait to finish the room.

Horrible coverage.

I used this paint as an accent around a darker fuchsia color on cabinets. The coverage was good, the brushstrokes don't show all that much, the paint had no smell that I could tell and it dried quickly. This is a day-glow paint that looks very bright under normal light conditions. You could use this for home improvement projects or crafts, wherever you need a very bright pink!
