100m Infrared IR Illuminator LED Security Floodlight with 90 Degree Wide Angle for Outdoor Night Vision CCTV Cameras

These are quite expensive as IR illuminators go, they are difficult to adjust up and down, they work quite well when finally adjusted correctly, however I noticed today that after being installed for a couple of weeks one is full of water, so I don't expect they will last very long.

There are two versions of this floodlight, the other one is only about two thirds the size and costs about £50 (I've got two) they both look the same but the number of IR LEDs is far greater. This version is far superior when it comes to projecting IR illumination. Mine came with an AC adaptor that plugged directly into the mains, the other smaller versions of the floodlight did not (£5.00 to purchase the adaptor). Can be a bit fiddly to set up pointing the exact direction you want but the keys provided (x2) work well. Mounting bracket requires four holes drilled into the wall, screws/rawplugs provided. It has a day/night sensor so only comes on at night but is left plugged in 24/7. You may require a power extension lead as the one provided is less than 2 meters long.

Does not illuminate anywhere near 100m, more like 15/20metres. Excellent for very close but no good for the long distance stated.

Worked well initially but then started flickering on and off about every second.

I bought this for better illumination than from the built-in IR lights in the camera. In fact I have disabled the camera LEDs to avoid spurious motion triggering from spider webs. The illuminator as received is a bit different to the illustration. Instead of lots of little LEDs there are 18 high power ones behind a dark plastic window. The illumination is well up to expectation though - it is adequate even at the end of the garden - about 25 metres away.
