Two separate pieces of paper included with this. One states do not use on hob when cooker is on. The other, in small print, says it can be used. Very confusing information, but Google confirms it can be used when hob us on. We shall see

This mat does exactly what it says on the tin. It protects my hob from scratches and spills, which is a godsend with my clumsy cooking skills. It's easy to wipe clean and it doesn't move around when I'm using the hob. I've even used it as a trivet on the table, so that's a bonus.

So this quite a clever idea. A protective cover for an electric induction hob. In theory this cover protects the glass top from scratches and provides a durable lightweight surface to cook on. The protective cover allows the magnetic induction as normal but unlike as shown in the product description and photos the controls for the induction hobs are so obscured you can't see them. So in practice you have to remove it before using it which defeats the objective of the product. We leave it on the hob when not in use. It makes sense to cover the glass and it helps keep it clean from dust etc. Would I recommend it? Well if your induction hob controls are on the front side with the oven then sure why not. If like us your hob controls are built into the glass panel itself then I wouldn't bother. It's nicely made and a great idea but not thought through. The size is large enough to cover a normal 600x600 mm glass hob. If your hob is larger then this cover won't fit.

I bought this after reading a reviews and some research on similar products. This ment to be top quality product but it burned after 3 use. Left burn marks on my new induction hob. Clearly isn't heat resistant. Returned.

For induction stove owners seeking protection and versatility, this KitchenRaku mat is a must-have.

Well it arrived and initially looked good...but once opened up and inspected found a dig in rear surface that showed ( towards bottom left in photo) through and a strange, whitish patterning that made it look dusty/ dirty. Couldn't see pan locations markings through the cover and would need to cut to access controls, so decided to return as not for us.
