Very good
In very good condition, everything good. The fan did stay on permanently to begin with, but switching off and on again seems to have solved that.

Easy to use, versatile
Had one of these for 13 years, still going strong with regular lens cleaning. This is a second purchase so already familiar with the handset. I like being able to record to hard drive and decide what to keep to watch again on removal DVD. Only gave four stars as not easy to connect to wireless network and as I'm using it in a bedroom, I can't use a connection lead.

Great machine. Hand set not a good design.
A great machine and very easy to operate. I've only used it to record TV programs thus far. So, there are still a number of functions I've yet to try out (I haven't even played a dvd on it yet!). My only grip is the design of the hand set it does not fit comfortably in my hand. I would of preferred a more flat/squared edge to the under part to that of the curved/con-caved design that came with the unit. Another thing I should mention is there has been a couple of occasions where I've awoken in the night to see the word "Guide" lit up on the display panel. I don't know why or how this happens as I turn the unit off before going to bed. Even when I've got something on timer-record. Kind regards.

Usual Panasonic excellence.
The built-in Freeview receiver is excellent:- it pulled in ALL the Freeview channels in my area, giving clear, steady reception. Tuning in took only a few minutes. I appreciated supply of an HDMI lead.Recording from TV is excellent. So far have only used the HD mode, but playback is very clear.Have played some of my self-recorded discs, again playback is clear - some of these discs are now over 4 years old, and look as though they were recorded yesterday. Playback of commercial DVD's is also excellent. I had the predecessor to this machine a few years ago and was impressed by that. Am equally impressed by this one.

Great kit
I’m still trying things out but my friend has a similar one that I’ve been using and all very simple and easy to use.
