Just what I needed, strong build quality, holds a G 17 to a snub securely, I like the key option in case the codes fail for some reason & I also like that it can double as airline travel safe., Prive was great.

This thing is thick, heavy, and hefty. Perfect for travel. Great for hotel rooms. Great not just for guns, but also cell phones, jewlery, and anything that fits inside.The key is a serious security key. It's no joke. No way to pick the lock. The padding is nice and firm. Keeps everything secure, preventing even small item travel.Locked my keys inside like an idiot. Needed to get back in right away. Thought about taking a crow bar to it, but changed my mind in two seconds. Not sure if it would even work, or the work would not be worth it. Nobody would weld into this thing in their right mind. The locking mechanism is so recessed and fully covered by the metal jacket that there is no way of even remotely getting to it from the outside. You either have they key or you don't.Probably the best way to crack it is to tap out the hinge rod, but it does look super tight. An internal hinge would be nice. For the price point this safe is fantastic!The company responded to a key replacement request immediately. Freshly produced and shipped the keys in half the scheduled time. Everyone I interacted with was super professional and incredibly nice. Fantastic people!Make sure to record both the safe number and the lock number. Both will be required if you lose they key. Then remove the safe number and store it separately. The company does serious checks to make sure you are the safe owner if you need key replacement. Nobody will have your stuff if they steal the safe.If you are paranoid, you can easily file the key number off the lock and they key. But then lose they key and you are SOL ;)

It has a large cable to lock to your car, strong box , but could be thicker

Recently purchased the Grimtron gun safe model VT1136, found the safe to be very durable and after some reading easy to use. I would recommend this safe for the ease of use along with a very reasonable cost.

Grimtron pistol safe.This is such an excellent gun safe. The construction is very well made and it has some pretty decent weight to it. Programming the safe was very easy and took only a minute or two including installing the 4 AAA batteries in the convenient holder. The size is perfect I can put my Glock 34 full frame in it or my 2 small frame Glock 26 and Glock 43. Securing the safe to the car seat framework is easy with a supplied cable, which is very flexible but yet very thick.

Seems to be a great safe for the price. I’ve only had it for a few days, but it is working well and fits in the center console of my truck. Once I put the batteries in, programming was easy and it opens every time. It fits a 1911 so most pistols will fit without it being too thick.I will update the review if any negatives show up.

This is 2 nd safe from this co. And another problem. Went from $20. To now $40. And after changing combinations locked and it will not open, now what to do? Brian F
