FONTANA Sugar Free Vanilla 1 Liter Syrup Bottle with Pump from Starbucks for Coffee and Tea

I bought this vanilla sugar free syrup right after I purchased a Nespresso machine. I get Starbucks and a grande drink cost me almost $7 because I either get almond milk or soy milk which costs more. I usually don't think sugar free things taste very good but this was amazing! I put 4 pumps with steamed almond milk and two shots of espresso and it is so dang good! Will be purchasing again in the future!

I use this in my water and tea, it doesn’t have that sugar free aftertaste. I love it.

First of all, I thought I was purchasing the Starbucks SF syrup. Evidently clicked on the wrong one. I'll be happy when I use this up and get a good syrup. With the SB syrup I can usually get away with 5, sometimes 4 pumps in my (giant) coffee. With this syrup I have to use 6 just to get a flavor and it's not even a good flavor at that. It's almost bitter. Dealing with it though because I'm stuck with it.***Came back to edit my review, as I found some Torani syrup on sale and went ahead and bought some (I was going to wait to buy any more until I finished out the bottle...)After making my coffee this am with some decent syrup - this stuff really is awful. I'd give it negative stars if that was possible. Do NOT waste your money.

I love Starbucks coffee, and I’ve been on a iced lattes and macchiatos kick the last few years. My go-to is Iced Caramel Macchiato,and recently the Starbucks iced blonde vanilla latte..... but let’s be real-it can be expensive, especially the amount of times a day I want to drink it. I recently moved from a place where there was a Starbucks on “every corner” to the closest one being 17 miles from me. I know...scary...but I found a solution and it started with this syrup believe it or not.I decided to make my own iced macchiato at home because it’s more affordable and I can have one (or 5) any time I want.I’m diabetic(diet controlled now-yeaaa!) and I’m “keto”, so sugar-free is a must. I knew Fontana is the brand that makes the Starbucks syrups so i bought this so I could be as authentic as possible.I started replicating the iced caramel macchiato at home based off the recipe that you see when ordering off the Starbucks mobil app.While I was waiting for my first bottle to come in, I bought a bottle of sf Torani from the store and I was happy that my “dupe” tasted so good, but I was most excited for the Fontana syrup to arrive. I figured it would make it taste more “Starbucks”*RECIPE(very simple): I use Starbucks Espresso-(I grind beans fresh now, but its fine pre-ground) that I bought from my Starbucks store. I started out with the Starbucks dark roast espresso ground from grocery store,but after getting an espresso machine,I buy 1lb beans from Starbucks bc it’s cheaper for me.Venti size cup(24oz): I make 3 espresso shots mix in 5 pumps of sf vanilla syrup, 3 Torani sf caramel syrup-then add in my light or heavy cream. (Walmart brand light cream is 0 carbs), and then I pour over my cup that’s filled with ice.The original Starbucks recipe calls for caramel drizzle which is caramel sauce,but I haven’t found a sugar-free one I like, so I use the syrup. ~Note: I do make it with the Torani caramel sauce (also used Ghirardelli one) for family, and they say it tastes better than Starbucks~Making it at home like this tastes just as good if not better. During the colder months,I make it hot but I feel the syrup tastes a little better in the cold drinks.A similar and easier way: When I’m tired,or don’t have time I use SF vanilla syrup with the Starbucks coffee concentrate Caramel Dolce Cold Brew single serve pods, and it’s reallllly good. All you do is add 1 pod to 8oz of water over ice,sf vanilla syrup and cream if you want. You don’t need caramel syrup this way either:)I also use it with the lighter roast.For my Blonde Vanilla iced latte, I do 3 shots of Blonde espresso over ice with about 7 pumps of the SF vanilla syrup and it’s delicious.With all that said.....I can honestly say that this syrup doesn’t make it any better than the Torani syrup. I feel that if you’re adding in other flavors, both Fontana or Torani behave the same way taste-wise. They both blend well, and I’ve never seen any syrup sitting at the bottom of my drink.I do feel like Torani is a little sweeter because I have to add in more pumps of the Fontana to achieve the same “sweetness”.Both still have a slight after-taste, but it’s mostly that “sugar-free” kinda taste that many sugar free products have. The main thing I like about this syrup is the amount you get(size of the bottle) and the pump.It also makes my coffee station set-up look like a mini Starbucks counter. I priced out the Torani sugar-free vanilla syrup, and the Torani is cheaper. I filled up the last bottle of Fontana I had with 3 bottles of 12.7 oz Torani Sugar-free vanilla that I bought from Walmart for 4.27each. That equals to $12.81 for 38.1oz vs 24.95 for 33.8oz. I see that Torani makes a larger bottle(25.4oz) but it’s 18.99 on Amazon,and around the same at Walmart ship to home.Over all, I would say just do your math to find the best value for you. You won’t go wrong with this sugar free syrup or the Torani brand, when it comes to making Starbucks iced coffees/lattes/macchiatos, especially if you’re mixing in other flavors.I have NOT tried this syrup with other brand coffees,so it may taste differently. I plan on filling up the bottle I just bought, with 3 small Torani ones when I run out. The taste isn’t a huge impact between the two,so I’d rather save my money and buy the Torani.

This vanilla is perfect for my guilt-free vanilla cokes. I cut all sugar out of my life, but I occasionally need a fix and this definitely hits the spot. Now, to keep my daughter out of it so it’s there when I want some.
