K2 BFC 100 BOA Men's Ski Boots

I bought these boots as a full season ski boot While I love the look and the BOA makes lock down a breeze, the durability is a huge concern. I’d hoped to get at least a hundred days out of these but after less than 10, they look like they’re years old. The lock strap is starting to fray and the outer sole looks like my running shoes after 200 miles of road running. All of this for just a block walk each day. I tried contacting K2 customer service and they told me that these are normal wear and tear parts and that they would not be covered under any warranty. So frustrating. Wish I’d read the prior review on Amazon first.

Currently renting this boot while on ski trip in Colorado. Pro: • Honestly, one of the most comfortable I have ever used which led to considering purchasing the boot for future trips and avoiding the Goldie Locks trial and error of finding the “right” rental boot. • The wire will tighten uniformly on the top part of the foot and has a quick release when you want to walk or readjust for better fit. Con: • I do have trouble getting my feet into the boots and extracting my feet from the boots is not easy. Maybe this would improve with practice on my part and repetition.
