It’s all about the prep
The adhesion properties r fantastic.This stuff works good as a primer to.( If ur painting something black ) just like any painting u need to FOLLOW the instructions. Every paint is different. But usually with rust converter paint it must be ruff (40/60/80 grit on bare metal) if u want to paint on bare metal. Otherwise just get the flaky rust and paint off . And blow it off with the air hose and or wash it with some dawn dish soap, and it will work out good . Just follow the instructions. Don’t take short cuts , the end result will be affected by ur preparation before u paint

Good for vehicle underbody.
Use a wire brush to scrub away the surface rust under trucks. Apply the paint to underbody of vehicle for frame rust prevention. Works well stopped the surface rust from spreading. Use eye protection and paint mask while working under your vehicle and put down something to catch the drip.

Impressed so far
Paint is very thin and runny but yet coats exceptionally well. Starts drying instantly and appears to make a nice thick coat. Best i can describe it as warm honey. So far very happy im doing 2 coats as I’ve found spots i missed the first coat. I used a brush and it does leave brush marks. Appears to be very durable and gave it a good test while installing new press in bushings. Very happy

OK at best.
OK at best. Slightly gummy when cured. Tried bruhing, foam roller and spray. Does not lay down well. Good enough for chassis paint if its not going to be seen. Not a replacement for Por 15.

AGS Rust Solution - It's Black
As compared to Eastwood Rust Encapsulate - The AGS is much thinner, it would be able to be sprayed on without thinning. If you brush it on it will run. It doesn't flow out as well and it will leave brush strokes. It dries very fast so doing large areas will cause the overlap to drag and leave additional distortion. If you apply a second coat within the specified hour it will quickly eat into the under coat causing more issues. The final sheen will vary depending on thickness and overlap of strokes giving it a still wet look in spots and flat black in others. If non of the above matters in your applications than it may be a cheaper way to go instead of Eastwood (if in fact it stops the rust as advertised). It's probably best when sprayed on but the mess and smell was too much for me to go that way.
