New case with bad gage inside? Really?
Plastic case was new, but gage wasn't. Protective plastic looked like it was run over by a truck, slide button was broken off, and was scratched up.

Use this simple gauge to show customers how thick their printed paper stock is. It works, but wish quality build was a little better.

Not the best instrument for my needs
It is very chintzy and the spring that engages what you are measuring is not robust enough to not be affected by the slightest twisting of the subject as you are measuring it.

great value great price for our paper converting operation

pretty mediocre quality
doesn't give the most consistent readings. I should have spent more for a better one. Also, a gage scale would have been nice in addition to the decimals.

great price
I was asked to source this tool for work. A private company I work with wanted to charge me over $500 for essentially the same thing. I went with this one instead, skeptical of the quality. I ordered one to evaluate. Once I saw that it worked fine, I ordered 3 more. For what it is and how I use it, I felt I couldn't go wrong with this. I definitely feel that I got a good deal. Even if these break within a year, I'll still be ahead.

Broke within the first day
Poorly made, it broke within the first day. No instructions came with how to use it. I was disappointed that I wasted money on it. I should have spent more for a quality product.

Seems like a good product
I bought this after my previous gauge stopped working. I thought it would be cheaper to replace it with this than to have the old one replaced. This came in a solid plastic case, which is good for the way I carry it. The accuracy is good, and the price was about 1/5 the current price of my old gauge. This is made in China, and looks like one of their better products.

Solid construction
Metal body construction, faceplate is plastic. I am a bookbinder who need to test the thickness of leather, board and paper.
