A couple of issues (use in a bathtub being a big one) but easy to put together and seems durable.
This is good quality shower chair. Very easy to put together since all the parts snap in place. I did glance at the instructions but for the most part it's uncomplicated and easy to know what connects where. The lower part of the legs are adjustable which is helpful since the tub base is a higher level than the flooring. However a riser or platform might be needed if you have a larger tub like we have. The seat is comfortable even though it lacks cushion. But the arm rests (which can be pivoted up if you want more room) have padding. The seat is large so there is room to move around, and the water drains through the seat holes. This is easy to clean. We have a lot of iron in the water here so I spray down the seat with shower cleaner sometimes so no residue builds up.The sliding function is effortless and I appreciate the larger suction rubber feet for added stability. Most importantly the frame is very stable. We originally wanted to put this in the shower my husband likes to use, but I didn't really think about the sliding glass doors being an issue when I ordered this. That is my fault and I went off of the 'shower chair's description without realizing this. His shower is small and there is no way to utilize this seat without water escaping out of the shower. We now have it in the bathroom with the tub. It's not an ideal setup due to the shower curtain. But I found that using 2 shower curtains helps remedy this. That way you pass through the middle and the chance of water leaking is much smaller.I do question the design, especially for taller tubs. You have to lift up your legs or put one leg over the side at a time when sliding in or out of the tub. Not exactly ideal for the elderly or disabled. One more issue is that because of the bathroom design, we have to move the whole chair when not in use as otherwise it blocks the entryway.I think the price is very fair considering the quality and compared to other similar shower chairs.I do think this is best used in a walk-in shower opposed to a bathtub or shower with sliding doors.

A Very Nice Transfer Bench With Only One Or Two Small Caveats...
I found this RestIsland Transfer Bench very easy to assemble and with a maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds (possibly) although in their "Setup Instructions" that was packaged with the bench it stated as one of its' "Warnings" that the Maximum load capacity of this shower chair is 240 lbs. so hopefully it should be capable of handling most elderly or disabled individuals that have a mobility issue while bathing in their tub no matter which weight capacity is correct (depending on their weight of course), personally I would lean towards using the lighter weight from the Manufacturer's warning in their Setup Manual. RestIsland also provided a seat belt to help reduce body swaying while using their chair just to ensure the safety of yourself or your loved one. It's also labeled as possibly being used in a shower but I have two showers in my home, one with a sliding glass door and a smaller one with a shower curtain and neither would work well using this transfer bench as a shower chair with part of it standing outside the shower and the other part inside with the shower head. I see too much of a chance for water from the shower entering the dry bathroom area. In this instance I would think a nice smaller shower chair would work best where all of the water would remain in the shower area itself. One of the main features of this chair that I appreciate the most is that their softly padded armrest on either side of the chair's seat which can, with an easy push of its' lever, can be raised out of the way to provide less restrictions while bathing and then easily rotated back into the armrest position when sliding out of the tub. It's very easy to initiate the sliding mechanism by just pressing the yellowish colored button just below the front of the seat. I like that they've added a curvature to their backrest and the seat to make them more comfortable to rest upon while bathing and that it comes with large non-slip rubber foot pads for inside the tub area. The product weight is approximately 12 lbs. which make it easy to move into position for your bathing experience and the only drawback I found with this chair is that although it does slide from side to side of the transfer bench but it doesn't glide effortlessly with my 200 lbs. body weight. There is some slight resistance or friction that can be felt while moving myself (sliding) from side to side. This transfer bench has the capability of being very adjustable in its' height with just a push of the button on each leg to suit most tub heights but I would recommend that you review the dimensional layout of this product as shown under their "Product Description" section of this Amazon sales page before you order just to verify that this bench will work with your particular sized tub (if your tub height is under 17" you should be fine). Overall I don't have a problem with recommending this transfer bench for your consideration other than the slight issue as I've previously mentioned between gliding and sliding across the bench rails...

Great bench for support
This transfer bench is great quality. My dad had to have a knee replacement so we ordered this to help him get in and out of the shower. The bench is very sturdy and the anti slip worked well. He’s about 170 pounds and this bench held him well and he felt secure on it. It wasn’t hard to put together. I would recommend this.

Very good
Love this chair! It fits perfectly and is very well made. All the components are very strong and you feel very secure and solid while using it. It was easy to put together. Makes getting into the tub so much easier with the sliding chair. I am very happy with this

That’s an extra layer of convenience with it sliding position
Have a deal with a shower bench is awkward and difficult enough but this shower bench chair with it sliding seat makes getting in and out just a little bit easier. It’s also very comfortable and very secure. And it’s definitely much starter than previous products I owned.

Great shower chair
The shower chair is very stable without being immovable, allowing for adjustments in the shower as needed. However, the legs are at a fixed distance, so depending on the size of your shower, you may have less space in the actual tub after installation. The slide function is very smooth and feels sturdy, ensuring you won't tip over while sliding. While the legs don't have much suction, the chair still feels stable. The material is good, and the handles, made of foamy rubber, have not peeled yet. My only gripe is that the belt on the back is not an optional attachment and cannot be removed. When it gets wet, I worry about it deteriorating, and I don't really need it attached to my seat. If the belt were removable, it would be perfect. Overall, it's a very good product with a minor inconvenience.
