Dexter Hardcover – February 4, 2014

I remember seeing the first issue on a newsstand and thinking, "I need to pick this up." My girlfriend and I had just started watching the series (Showtime) and I was just starting to read the first novel. At this point, I have seen the entire series and have read the first two novels. I think this comic was great and I'm glad I picked up the full story as a graphic novel. I liked the way Dalibor Talajic depicted Dexter's "Dark Passenger" as a shadowy figure that emanates or is always lingering around Dexter just out the mind's eye. I did think the ending was a tad forced (it went too quick for me) but it's a comic book and sometimes creative is forced by the limitations of their editors into a limited series. Otherwise, it was good mystery story. One where Dexter's "Dark Passenger" identifies his quarry early on but, of course, we know that his "kills" are never easy with Debra lingering about mucky up the works. All in all I enjoyed this work and hope that plans are in the works to continue on doing more short comic stories based on this character. Good read!

Another birthday gift for my wife. We're both huge Dexter fans.She already has the box set but I thought she might like this little trinket, too. Just for giggles.But it looks cool!

This introduces us to Dexter, and fills in the consequences of an incident he has mentioned in his youth, while he was still in high school. Dexter's at a class reunion...and finds that the past has come back to haunt him.

This was a great graphic novel. It was like a very interesting short to add to the Dexter universe. Well worth the read.

The comic seems to pick up right after the books. The timing and humor seemed slightly off. My guess is that it is due to Mr. Lindsay getting used to the new format and the artist. I am very eager to read the next story arc which I am fully expecting to be better.

I didn't read the description good, not what I thought it was but steal glad to have it.

I rate this graphic level slightly below the tv series and the books by the same author , not quite capturing the same feeling as either. Overall though satisfied with my purchase , only issue was the pages being very thin compared to other graphic novels, they were still of a high standard though and enjoyed reading it , will read it again in the future no doubt.

Perfect gift for a massive Dexter fan.

Came very quickly and as a Dexter fanatic I loved this graphic novel.

Das ist mein erster Comic seit 15 Jahren und ich bin begeistert. Die gebundene Fassung umfasst 5 Kapitel - eine Geschichte. Die Illustrationen sind großartig, kleine Kunstwerke. Wer die Bücher gelesen hat und den Humor von Jeff Lindsay mag, wird den Comic lieben. Schade nur, dass Dexter nicht wie Michael C. Hall gezeichnet werden konnte.

I'm a fan of the television show but the book seemed rather sterile to me. Neither the artwork or the story drew me into the book. I won't be buying any more of the series.
