Long-Lasting and Bold—Perfect Waterproof Eyeliner
I absolutely love the NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Epic Wear Liquid Liner! The black color is bold and intense, giving a dramatic and defined look. What I appreciate most is its long-lasting, waterproof formula—it stays put all day without smudging or fading, even in humid conditions or after long wear. The applicator is precise, making it easy to create both thin lines or more dramatic wings with great control. It’s definitely become a staple in my makeup routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, long-lasting eyeliner.

Fantastic-A must buy!
I purchased this eyeliner with some reluctance because as I get older my hands are not so steady, and my eyelids not firm and young. Attempting to apply eyeliner has always been a bit of a challenge for me but now it is a task of the highest order, especially keeping it on my eyelid and not in my eyes or eyebrows.Let's face it those crazy sayings or jingles we hear over and over will make a nest in our brains until one day a light in our brain clicks on and suddenly we realize that one of those weird sayings is true and applies to you! Yes! The day has arrived when that happens even more frequently-you know when it happens, the light goes on and finally you're one of "those" people.Back to the eyeliner, after hours and hours of living at Amazon, I finally saw a photo of NYX liquid eyeliner that intrigued me. I'm easily intrigued with simple things but this is the deal, the brush used to apply the eyeliner was tiny-very tiny, and I didn't pay much more attention to the ad than that. I though to myself that if the brush was so tiny and skinny I just might be able to apply part of the eyeliner where it needed to go without so many variations o coloring outside the lines-you know the deal, a little on the eyelids, some in the eye, and let's not forget the eyebrow and perhaps the nose and yep-I am out of Q-tips and I am beginning to look more like Natasha of Boris and Natasha and you know the rest-should have bought those Q-Tips!I was and still am absolutely mystified just how perfectly that little brush worked! The eyeliner stayed within the appropriate places, no Q-tips needed-not a single one! The liner dried quickly, no smears, or crooked lines, and the best thing about it was that the color lasted 2-3 days. No flaking, smears, dark shadows under the eyes or in the corner of my nose! Why I ask you, has it taken so long for someone to come up with the simple but elusive perfection of such a seemingly simple task? Voila! Finally NYX Cosmetics gest it right, a little tiny pointed brush simply did the trick without bands playing, and funky stuff flying through the air and in everybody's face and hair? It matters not, cause now you can try this magic NYX it works gratis the brilliant brush! The eyeliner worked too-imagine?

As a longtime matte liquid liner user, I have some thoughts.
First things first, this is a solidly good product. The formula is SUPER long lasting and can take an absolute beating. The first day I wore this, I laughed, cried, accidentally rubbed my eyes, went out in the rain, and effectively put it through almost everything an eyeliner can go through. So, I feel equipped to say that this eyeliner is waterproof and smudge proof. Also, when I took it off 14 hours after applying, there was zero cracking, smudging, or any real show of wear.Having said that, it also refused to budge with my micellar water that removes literally all of my other makeup (including very waterproof mascara) until I rubbed quite hard. I'll be trying some other makeup remover and coconut oil to see if either of those work better. I like a long lasting eyeliner, but I don't want to take it to the grave.Okay, now, that I've addressed the good, it's time to move on to the bad and the ugly. The only reason I purchased this eyeliner is because, to my dismay, NYX discontinued their Matte Liquid Liner. This was my holy grail eyeliner. I wore it nearly every day, and never found myself disappointed. I felt a strangely real sense of loss when I learned it was discontinued, and quite frankly, it still stings. But, I figured it would be close enough. I like NYX products overall, due to their quality, price point, and lack of animal testing, and I knew I wanted a liquid liner with a pot and brush versus a more modern pen applicator. So, this seemed perfect. And again, it's good. But if you're coming from using the Matte Liquid Liner, there are some major differences.First, as some other reviewers have mentioned, the brush is noticeably thicker than the brush with the Matte Liquid Liner. This means, if you're accustomed to the thinner brush, this one can make you feel a little ham-fisted with your application, and it can make it harder to get fine details.Along with the brush itself, the formula feels thicker. There's a certain viscosity to this eyeliner that the Matte Liquid Liner lacked. This adds to the increased difficulty to get precise lines and details.Having said that, it's a decent replacement, and a solid option for the price point.
