I searched far and wide for a Japanese style mattress since I like sleeping on the floor. However my main concern was trapping moisture so I really liked how this package came with a floor mat! I don't know if the humidity meter really works yet but it beings me peace of mind to be able to have the mat. The mattress itself is the right amount of firmness and feels nice so far. I've only slept on it for one night so hope it holds up well.

I decided to get this mattress rather than a traditional Japanese shikibuton mattress. For what it's worth, this is a good alternative to a traditional shikibuton mattress. It fit my sleeping needs at the time without breaking the bank. I'd recommend this product.I will note the 4 stars is because since the mattress has memory foam in it, it makes it more difficult to roll it up and store it in the bag that is given with the product. Even rolling up the mattress with the straps given, it was hard to store the mattress in the bag (I ended up tearing one of the seams while doing this).
