Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Very good quality and enjoyable.....

The Half Blood Prince was my personal favourite from the series when I read it for the first time, and since this is my second reading, nothing much has changed, as it still remains the best amongst the seven books (as of now). I didn’t actually expect myself to become as emotional the second time as it made when I went through the chapters and the story this time around. As the penultimate book where Lord Voldemort finally gathers his army, and now we know who is on the right and the wrong side of it, with shocking twists in the ending, it was simply terrific (still unbelievable). Also, as I mentioned earlier, it actually makes a big difference in the story and detailing if you read the oldest version possible. Since this time (all thanks to my Pottered friend), who lent me her copies, which are the oldest edition of the books, it had so many new things which I didn’t read earlier, which were pleasantly surprising and superb to read. Harry Potter gets the Half Blood Prince’s book and makes himself a perfect potion master while Voldemort get near him and kills at the earliest thickens. As if killing one Dark Lord wasn’t enough, when the fantastic secret is revealed as how he had saved and guarded himself with dark arts, totally earth-shattering suspense and reveal, I must say. When I read a book which happens to be a part of a series, I always try to read a different book in between to break the pace, but after this one, I couldn’t help but pick up the last one immediately :) and just couldn’t read anything else in between. Looking forward to the big finale in Deathly Hallows, but before that, I will check out the movie adaptation to disappoint myself one second last time :).

I'd come across so many negative reviews of the condition of used books that I expected to be handed over a fake copy of the book or a real copy with dog-eared, written in and missing pages. But I was pleasantly surprised when I received a pristine, original copy of this book. At the very least, I expected the dust jacket to be missing but it was there 🥹. In fact, you can't tell that the book is even used. The only sign of being pre-owned is that the colour on the portion of the dust jacket over the spine is a little faded, which is natural considering its a twenty year old edition. So thank you AG Impex for delivering a piece of my childhood in such good condition.

This book is amazing. All potter head would love it. The cover tempts the readers to read. If I would give a change in book. It would be to increase the font size.

The quality is just amazing. Wand erful. The story...aah, I don't think I have words. It is Harry Potter we are talking about Prof. Albus Dumbledore finally arrives at Privet Drive, 4, to pick Harry. He discusses about Sirius' possessions, which are to be inherited by Harry, as he is his godson( Number 12, Sirius' gold and treasures, and Kreacher are the things he gets) while Uncle Vernon shouts('His Godfather is dead?' or 'He left a house?') and Kreacher does not want to be in Harry's possession, but he has to, because he is the master of Kreacher. They then leave, Harry packs up his mess hastily, pulls out the invisibility cloak and sees that Dumbledore's wand hand is blackened and shrivelled, as if someone has put it on fire. Dumbledore doesn't answers Harry, the whole year. He asks to tell Ron and Hermione about the prophecy, but to know one else, and informs Harry that he will be taking lessons with him(private). Harry does as he had been told, and Dumbledore starts giving him lessons. On their way, Harry learns about Voldemort's parentage, his life in the orphanage, he believing easily that he is a wizard, unlike Harry, and most important- Horcruxes. What on the earth are Horcruxes? How do they help Voldemort? How many are there? Why is it important to destroy them? They can be anything, anywhere, and the question is, where and what? Read the book to find out. Meanwhile, there is something of shock- Snape is the new DADA teacher, and a new teacher, Horace Slughorn teaches potions. Harry comes on top in potions with the help of a book of some old student- the book's owner is known as The Half Blood Prince. Hermione reckons it can be a girl too. Harry reckons it is a boy. They argue everytime upon the topic. The prince has also wrote some new spells. Then, Harry tries them- none of them is dangerous until he reaches the 'Sectusempra', it cuts the skin of a person as of did by a knife. Harry, unknown of what it did, casted it upon Malfoy, and he is shocked, when at the same time, Snape comes in. Harry, from the beginning of the year, suspected that Malfoy is a death Eater and Snape is helping him. Ron and Hermione deny, however. Also, when Harry recieves the letter from Hogwarts in his holidays, he scores good in other subjects except History of Magic and Divination, in which he and Ron fail. Also, Harry has been made the new Gryffindor Quidditch team captain. Harry finds himself showing a bit of interest in a different light towards Ginny. Ginny becomes the chaser, after all, she is amazing. Ron is the keeper, again. Also, Slughorn makes a Slug Club in which he invites many legendary students(known for their ancestors) including Ginny, Harry, of course, and Hermione. Now, Harry's lessons with Dumbledore are going interesting, until that night... Read the book to find more! I know after reading the review, you might have many questions, but, the truth is, that after reading the book, you can have a better experience. I don't want to spoil your excitement, so I am stopping. It is very important, as in case you miss that one in the series, you'll regret, because this book is exceptionally important. I love the book. Satisfied from Amazon. But please provide bookmarks, they are important. Almost every online store gives bookmarks when you purchase a book, except for Amazon. Overall, it is great- Both by Story and Quality as well.
