These motion sensing lights are one of the best innovations I've come across. I've installed motion sensing light switches, but had one application that wasn't working out. The light switch was on the outside of a walk-in closet, so it would go on unintentionally. Enter these motion sensing bulbs. I installed them, flipped the switch and bam, done. Now when I walk into the closet both ceiling lights come on and stay until I exit. Couldn't be more impressed with them and recommend with confidence. Thanks!

I purchased this ‘dusk to dawn’ LED light bulb (2-pack) for the porch lamp on my outbuilding. These bulbs self-energize automatically at dusk (pretty dark) and then power off at sunrise. The light switch must remain ’on’ position to function and it only lights up after dark when it senses motion nearby. I have found that because the bulb is rather small (60 W equivalent), the lamp fixture blocks the range sensitivity of the motion sensor to just a few feet. My lamp is intended to illuminate the doorway so I can punch in the digital keypad code. This is fine for me, but not suitable for wider security lighting applications. I deducted one star because of limited motion sensitivity inside of a lamp (see photo).

these are awesome light bulbs! what a great concept. i put one in my closet which has a pull string light and it works great. stays on for a decent amount of time after you leave and is surprisingly bright for a smaller bulb. love it and will order more!
