Goated mechanical pencil🐐
The Uni Kuru-Toga pipe slide is such a simple yet sophisticated writing instrument. As a Zoology and Botany student I wanted to invest in a good pencil for sketching physiological and anatomical illustrations and this pencil did not disappoint. I absolutely adore the Kuru-Toga mechanism. This pencil is a better investment than the standard model and I highly suggest going for this than the other. Hats off Uni,Never fail to disappoint!

A descent product
It is a wonderful product, no doubt. Here are my observations;1) Came with just 2 leads in the pencil. Pencils from other companies with lesser price tag, have a pack of leads, additional eraser etc.,2) Comparing those products, I feel it is overpriced (but i still bought it).3) The letterings are not that dark. It is not too light either. But I would prefer it darker. Legible when read.

Note/sketch taking pencil
Serves well for note taking purpose or to highlight/mark in your books. Artists might enjoy sketching with it too.Needs bit of pressure while writing for the mechanism to work. For darker shades and lead strength, get pentel ain stein leads or uni leads or rotring leads. Cheaper leads tend to break or write lighter.Plastic body seems bit delicate so use caution while using it. Lead sleeve has a cushioned feel like the rest of uni variants. Not good for cursive writing as lead wears down unevenly. Works well for people who don't connect their letters while writing. As it is a product of japan, it was built for their language which have multiple, seperate, clean strokes allowing the lead to rotate.Feels sharp and thin on cheap paper while making notes. It does feel better on higher gsm paper or more premium paper.

Good but only for some people
It's not that good yeah the lead rotates only when you press it down so if you write in cursive keep writing with some other pencil or change your writing styleEven considering drawing I don't think it'll help much cause it's not like you lift your pencil for every centimeter you drawNow as it's expensive and yeah looks pretty cool too buy it if you want something different or if you write each letter by lifting or if you draw stroke and crosshatching and I bought it for 645

BEST MECHANICAL PENCIL I HAVE EVER USED
I write for long hours daily. I do not use kerchief writing. I write each letter separately. This pencil fits my needs exactly. The lead rotates, so I do not have to rotate the pencil for even thickness of writing. The barrel is of just the right width for a comfortable fit in my fingers. There is a rubber ring on the barrel which prevents the fingers fro sliding down. Just the right pencil. It is made of plastic though, and I am beginning to wonder about its sturdiness. Time will tell!

Very good pencil for sure, but…
The pipeslide is a very good pencil indeed but for this pricing they could have thrown in a lead box and better packaging. Mine came with pretty noticeable 3-4 scratches. However they pencil does what it is meant to do. All around pretty good 👍🏼.
