Easy to use
I love watching this easy to use method to sprout my seeds and beans!

The price
I have sprouted alfalfa and mung beans before. It’s always been kind of messy. Having a large mouth cover makes it a lot easier to use a quart jar. When you rinse and drain, there’s always some water left so having it on the stand to drain the little bit left into the cover works great. Having two covers, I can keep sprouting and always have some ready.

Poor Jar Top Fit
The lid doesn't screw onto the mason jar correctly, the thread pattern must not be correctly machined. You have to force it on so it won't pop off the jar which makes it VERY difficult to get off when the sprouting process is complete. Good design concept to keep the jar tilted for drainage but very poor fit.

Works just fine
I have used a mason jar as a sprouting jar for many many years before I got a large four layer sprouting trays. These two mason jar sprouting lids are better than any I’ve ever had before. They fit the jar snuggly and I really like that. The strainer part is made out of metal and not plastic, which is what I had before. I like that the lid has a kickstand for lack of a better word, that will hold the jar upright in the draining position so I don’t have to prop the jar up with a dish or a towel and the tray is just that little. All in all this system is great for one or two people or when you don’t need a lot of sprouts all at once. If you start one jar three days later, start another one and just keep it on rotation you’ll always have fresh sprouts . I like the simplicity of using a mason jar with a screen top. I think the price is good for two sets. I’m glad I ordered this.

Convenient design
The lids have nets to drain the water, stands to hold the jars, and caps to collect residual water. The design makes sprouting easy. I don't need to find a rack to hold the jars upside down. However, I wonder if the stand can support jars with more than 16oz capacity. I shall cautiously test the limit.

Skip the frivolous kits and just get these lids!
Better than the dinky kits! We got a flimsy little sprouting kit awhile back and I wish we would have just gotten these lids to begin with. These work wonderfully and are honestly all you need (plus sprouting seeds and a jar) to make sprouts! They work great and the draining tray is an added bonus! Order these and you'll have fresh sprouts in just a couple days!

They work
They do work but they are messy. Put them on a tray to drain the cap does not hold them.

Nice lid for mason jar sprouting
I've sprouted plants in mason jars before, usually with just a paper towel over the lid. This makes it a more reusable setup.I like that they provide the lid cap, which acts as both a cover when the jar is facing upward, and as a drip saucer when the jar is facing down. This handles one of the main issues with other mason jar sprouting lids: they drip water. It fits my wide-mouth jars, but there's something slightly off with the threads or the diameter that makes the fit quite tight. Still good enough to hold and can be opened with a bit of effort. Maybe it gets easier over time as the tight sections wear down a bit.
