As a Roxanne Wolf fan you’ll love this!
I love how well balanced the Roxy/Cassie cute moments were with the Torture Sim Greg does with Cassie. I felt like that was well balanced especially considering how some of Gregory’s ‘pranks’ got a little too painful to continue reading about.I also find it interesting this book seems to take place before Roxy got her xray eye upgrade it seems, but after Monty already got his own claw upgrades containing the Glitchtrap virus. Also no Vanessa which i was kinda sad about, but im happy Roxy/Cassie got more lore and relationship building. I think this book makes perfect sense, regarding RUIN and Cassie being a abuse victim (since in real life, sadly there are times a victim would continue to go back to their abuser cuz they feel its the only choice they have)10/10 would recommend mostly if you’re a roxy fan though. She is EVERYWHERE in this book!

My Grandson loved it
I bought the first interactive novel in the series for my Grandson. He was spending a week with me during Spring break. He dove right in to the book. My daughter said he even takes it to school with him. He showed me a class project he had to do. He had to write a survivors guide for 4th grade. He set it up just like the interactive book. I bought this edition for his birthday.

Lacks Focus
It's hard to beat the first entry in this series, The Week Before, but this one leaves a lot to be desired - despite the premise being the most interesting on first glance. Not only is it about 30 pages (well, digitally - not sure about physical) shorter than entry #1, but its plot also feels oddly jumbled with a lack of sufficient focus. It's structured into Nights similarly to the others (unlike the specific game its based on), but this feels like an excuse to pad-out an otherwise empty plot that might've otherwise felt a little more coherent.Speaking of, the plot itself doesn't really start in earnest until Night 3, though I feel like even after that, half the book ignores there's even a plot. The main conflict is relatively straight-forward, but confusing as a result of distractions and red-herrings that seem to serve no other purpose than to confirm what Five Nights at Freddy's fans have already suspected for years. Aside from that, the potential lore-reveals for the greater series that fans may have expected are almost entirely absent. I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed with the experience. It's written fine, structured okay, but I'm not entirely sure I enjoyed it - and without that, I'm not sure what purpose it even serves.
