Got this as a birthday present and it was great. Item shipped as described. The coffee was not acidic, and it had a great taste and great aroma. This is definitely great due to my issues with acid reflux, this was a very smooth coffee and did not upset it at all. Unfortunately, this is a bit pricey for my budget and for the smaller quantity that is sent for that price. Most likely I will only be getting this as treat for me some time next year around my birthday. Otherwise, I definitely recommend it for folks who are looking for something that this company boasts and described their site, it did not disappoint.

100% Hawaii coffee! A little too expensive for every day but worth it! The 10% blend is good to and better affordable but 100% is better!

This is my weekend guilty pleasure. Save this good stuff for lazy morning weekend breakfasts when I can savor the smooth brew.

This is great coffee. I was stationed in Hawaii for 3 years. I was introduced to Konna Coffee while there. I even shipped some back to the states so I would have it when I got transferred home. I'm glad I can still get it now in Texas!!

If you noticed the seller does not respond to bad reviews (always a bad sign). Kona coffee is known for its rich aromas, smoothness, almost sweet taste. When I first opened the bag I was disappointed that it didn’t have that sweet, full, aromatic coffee smell. Scooping the grounds they lacked color consistency, were very dry, lacked the usual oils you’d expect in a quality coffee. Grinding it further didn’t release anything either and didn’t help with the brewing (pour over). The pours color was light and what I would consider a “weak” cup where you can see the edge of the cup, somewhat clear below the surface of the coffee. Over the next few sets of pours the quality and consistency changed little. From my regular brewing method to quick pours with lower temp water and a metal screen versus metal filter (to lower the bitterness) it stayed bitter and “flat”. The coffee stayed on the bitter side with adjustments making no real difference to the taste or quality.

I used to work two blocks from Lion Coffee in Honolulu where I would visit several times a week (~21 years ago?). I seem to remember this brand being sold there along with their house roasted and it was available in all of the gift shops around the island. It was something I would buy myself for my birthday or other occasion when I wasn't feeling too broke. Back then it came in 10 oz or 12 oz bags and I don't remember the price being too much lower so it isn't really a bad deal considering the number of years and inflation.Maybe I have lost some of my sense of smell, and my coffee tastes have changed quite a bit over the years. I went from light roast Hawaiian when I lived there to Guatemalan light then medium roast when I moved back to the states, now drinking less acidic roasts and mainly African and some Indonesian beans with a South American thrown in every now and then for a change. I didn't get overly excited on smelling the beans and was not impressed with the first cup which my wife made me for my birthday this year. No memory evoking aroma or flavor. I made myself a small cup the next day and it started to bring back some memory with flavor. I ordered some from a different seller on Amazon two years ago and still enjoyed it. It's not fake but not sure I would buy it again through Amazon.Two stars would be too harsh because my olfactory discernment isn't what it used to be.
