easy to read

Upon initial inspection, it looked like the hundredth markings were one solid white line. This is why I put only 4 stars for "easy to read" However, I was using it as a scale for a surveying level. Those same lines were very easy to read through the level(scope). I may replace all my scales with them.

Looks great, easy to resd

The concept of having white markings on the black background sounded good. Unfortunately, the black background finish is not uniform and the silkscreen or whatever method used to provide the white markings seems overfilled and the 100's scale is illegible.

My silver scales are hard to read with any backlight. The measurements on these white on black scales make it very clear! I ordered extras to give to my coworkers as gifts. They are no more expensive, and in most cases more affordable than local dealers. It was worth the two day wait and I will order these again!

Very easy to see the numbers for the older craftsman

Bought before and will again. Main tool for machinist. Handy and easy to read with black finish

I like a black scale for the high visibility,but this scale is useless for daily use in a machine shop!
