Good Food, But the Birds Eat it Too Quickly !
The birds appear to really like this food. So if you have an endless bank balance you can buy it and feed them until they are huge.However my birds clear out a feeder full of this in about a week. Which is too quick. I like the birds, but not enough to spend that much on the giant pack that seems to assemble and consume this food. So they only get a feeder full once a month to stop them eating the grass seed on the lawn.In the winter I may fill it more.

The birds in the garden are pleased.
Very good quality. The birds that regularly visit the garden like it.Arrived in two plastic bags. More sturdier than the tub they pack 5kg.Oddly cheaper to but two 2.5kg bags at present of Erdtmann Summer Bird Food as opposed to the plastic tub 5kg of the same product which was £8.79 when I last ordered it - or their regular 5kg tub - both of which are out of stock.Handy tip: retain your empty 5kg plastic Erdtmann tubs - a) because Amazon usually send tubs damaged b) the tubs are very handy receptacles for two 2.5kg bags of Erdtmann's Bird seeds.

Loved by the small birds in the feeder
I use these in the bird seed feeder and the smaller birds love them. We have had a variety of sparrows (including fledglings) tits, finches loving these. The larger birds sit underneath the feeder and pick up those bits that drop down. I do keep them in a sealable container as the feed contains what look like dried insects and I didn't want anything hatching out in the utility room. Nothing has yet though and the birds love the variety of 'tastes'. I am about to order more and this will be my third order. I have now received my fourth order

Good value
£4 is good value for such a large bag (and variety) of seeds. For my picky garden birds, it's missing some millet and sunflower hearts, but sprinkle a few on top and it's all go! The oats initially get left behind, but they're usually cleared up later.A good option if you can't get to the shops at the moment.

Can get weed growth under feeder
Birds love this mix. Only problem we had was that we got a lot of weed growth under the feeder as a result of seed dropped by birds during feeding.

Good value
Good value seed, which seems popular with the birds. Interestingly, the Amazon review process invites me to rate this product for "Flavour". I've asked thebirds but, so far, thye've ignored the question and no, I'm not going to taste it myself!
