This putting green is easy to put together, but as others have commented, if you want the green flat you will have to put a little effort into it. I steamed it flat in just a few minutes--this is my recommendation. The ball return feature is nice, however you need a pretty flat surface for it to return all the way. We live in an old house with uneven floors so it has to be maneuvered around to find a spot that works. My only real complaint is the steep incline at the end. I understand that the steepness probably makes it more compact for shipping and storage, but it is odd to have such a steep incline right before a hole so it doesn't really simulate most golf course conditions.

Got this for putting practice. The "ball return" is nice, but doesn't come back all the way. The height of the hole is definitely too high for real life golfing - it is more suited to mini golf course layout than actual golf course. Additionally, it comes folded up in the box which left large creases in the mat. We left it sit with heavy books on top for a few days to flatten it out and it sill is not fully flat.

This is a great little practice tool when you can't get out on the green. The putting mat is nice and plush, and is more like a carpet than a turf-like material. It has great demarcations every two feet up to 8 feet. The mat itself has a rubberized backing that helps it stick to the floor. When delivered, the mat was rolled up and it took a lot of massaging to get most of the kinks out. I still find that the mat bunches up a bit sometimes, but it just takes a bit of rubbing to flatten it out. At about the 1 ft mark, it slopes up about 6 inches and leads to the hole. I found the hole to be not perfectly flat and level, but it's not really a big deal since that's fairly accurate for a lot of courses, and obviously the main uses for this practice mat is to get used to the setup, putting straight, and distance control. Included with the mat are about 7 ft of plastic rails that make up the "auto return" system. The auto return does work okay. When you either get the ball in the hole or you hit the included backplate from overshooting, the ball is guided to the right of the mat and the slope down will help the ball roll back. The ball generally will roll back about 5 feet so it doesn't really return it back to the mat if that's what you were expecting. But it is nice not needing to walk all the way to the hole to retrieve the ball. Everything is detachable so it's super easy to store away in a small space. I think the main benefit is that it can be set up almost anywhere and is perfect for a home or office. I find my self just randomly practicing some putts at home, and can definitely feel my self building up my muscle memory. The guide lines are super helpful for determining how straight my putts are and I think it would make a great gift for yourself or loved one!

This putting mat is great value for the price. It is very long and allows you to practice longer distance putts.This mat is a lot slower than some of the other putting mats I have tried, and I actually like that. I have another putting mat and the ball rolls a lot faster on that one. This one feels like putting on a freshly punched/sandy green - it rolls slower. Having both mats allow me to train for both conditions. I have my two putting mats next to each other - if you have space for one, having another one doesn't take up too much more.
