Simply apply a balm to your skin, then lightly dab or dust the glitter on top and you'll be sparkling for hours. •Contains our 3 best sellers: Mermaid Mix, Pirate's Gold and Long John Silver. Each one containing 4 different sized grains from fine (soft sand) to extra-chunky (fish scale). •How much do I need? 5ml sounds tiny but it will be enough for 5 -10 full cheekbone applications. The trio pack will be enough to sparkle you, friends and new friends at a weekend festival. •What is it made from? This UK manufactured biodegradable glitter is made from cellulose (plant fibres) of sustainably farmed trees, predominantly Eucalyptus. The vibrant colours are applied to the cellulose with cosmetically graded dyes. Then a tiny coat of < 0.1% of aluminium is applied to match the sparkle of PET glitter but is noticeably softer (30-40% if we're being scientific). It complies with EU and FDA cosmetic regulations and EU Toy regulations. Our glitter will breakdown quickly in both soil and marine environments. Regular glitter is made from petroleum to form a PET plastic, like drink bottles that won't breakdown quickly. It's tiny bypasses filtration systems and ends up in our oceans, where fish mistake it for food and works it way up the foodchain. Bivalve organism, such as Clams and Oysters are particularly susceptible to micro plastic pollution and we need to stand up to polluting cosmetic companies before it's too late. Glitter usually comes in transparent plastic pots made from Polystyrene plastic which is particularly brittle and hard to recycle. Instead we offer the choice between glassine envelopes or our sturdier aluminium tins.
