Thermal Grizzly CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT - for Optimized CPU Contact Pressure to Improve The Cooling Performance

I installed the Thermal Grizzly CPU Contact Frame while doing a case swap for my new build, and I can confidently say it's one of the best and most cost-effective upgrades you can make to improve your PC's cooling. Pros: Super Easy Installation: The process of removing the motherboard's stock ILM (Integrated Loading Mechanism) and installing this frame was surprisingly straightforward and quick. Significant Temperature Drop: The results are undeniable. I ran Cinebench tests before and after the installation and saw a consistent temperature drop of 5-10 degrees Celsius on my i9-14900K. Incredible Value: For a product that costs under $10, achieving this level of thermal improvement is phenomenal. It's an amazing bang-for-your-buck upgrade. Overall Experience: This contact frame genuinely provides a better, more even contact surface between the CPU and the cooler, which directly translates to better performance. Taming the heat of a high-performance processor like the Intel i9-14900K can be a challenge, and this simple, inexpensive part made a noticeable difference. This product has made such an impact that I will never do another Intel build without one. The small effort of replacing the stock ILM is well worth the significant cooling benefit. Fits beautifully, and is well made. I wish it was more visible behind the cooler as silly as it sounds.

Affordable contact frame that comes with Allen wrench and screws and definitely showed a drop in temperature on a stress test, If you have an AIO make sure to hold on to the bracket or it will fall along with the cpu so please be have it on its side before installing it.

What's this supposed to do again? On an LG1700 socket, remotely tightening it at all flexes it downward. It's just plastic. There's this gap between the frame and the board itself so it bends downward. On YouTube they show "finger tight, plus 1/4 turn". That's still enough to bend it downward, and it's still loose. I was under the impression this was supposed to create a nice flat surface for the cooler, resulting in better temps. Since tightening it bends it downward, all it does is secure the CPU. Original clamp on the board would have done that. If you screw it down too far, it doesn't post. This also explained in youtube videos. Great huh? It isn't flat. When it's loose it doesn't do anything, when its tight it doesn't post. I feel like I got suckered $8 for something "trendy" you don't actually need. But its installed so it's gonna stay there. I got enough squeeze on the CPU through the cooler and its mounting method.

It's perfectly flat for your cooling system. Works at expected.

Might not work for every cpu cooling fan system or water block cooling due to the length of the included mounting screws. your cooling fan back plate needs a cut out to match the longer screws length. Seller: these should come with 2 lengths of screws. I had to use the screws that came with the motherboard's present CPU mount as few others have mentioned because the included screws protrude right into where a possible intel style replacement cooling fan, water block mount backplate needs to mount.
