Quality for what you pay for
I was afraid of getting this laptop based on a few bad reviews, but I'm glad I got it anyway. For the $210 price mark, this laptop gave me exactly what I was looking for: a distraction free laptop for the sole purpose of writing. All my docs are in Google cloud, so the Chromebook was a perfect match for what I needed. The keyboard is easy to use and does not hurt my fingers after long use. The laptop is light weight and has a good sized screen (I think I got the 14 inch one, but there is an 11.5 inch version). The screen is a little pixelated, but I am ok with this bc 'sharp' HD stuff hurts my eyes after long bouts of editing. If you want to do a bunch of fancy stuff, I would probably spend more money on a different laptop that can accommodate all of your needs -- but for me, this Chromebook was able to hit all my needs for a low price point. Prior to this I only used Apple products so I was conditioned to overpay for features I didn't need. This laptop is a smart choice if you're using it for similar circumstances to me.

Not a regular laptop
Disclaimer: This is a CHROMEBOOK and does not function like a regular laptop. This may be a widely known fact but I did not realize it until receiving this that this laptop does not use Windows and does not function like regular Mac/Windows computers - Chromebook uses its own IOS. Because of this, you cannot use any Microsoft, cannot install a majority of programs (as they are programmed from Mac/PCs and the software is not set up for a Chromebook), and are unable to install apps like iTunes.Outside of this, the computer functions spectacularly! The touchscreen is responsive, the operating system is fast, and the battery is great. If you need a laptop for browsing, emails, travelling this is a great option for a great price but I would just keep in mind that this is more like a tablet with a keyboard then a laptop.

Even my 11 year old can use it…
I brought this for my 11 year old daughter for her to use for school or whatever else. She doesn’t have trouble working the laptop. She does very good with it!

Budget-Friendly Gem,exceeded my expectations
Super easy setup. Perfect for school. Not expensive incase anything happens to it, it can be replace. My sons been using it for school and its Perfect for all his high school activities. Battery last all day and charges pretty fast. It's perfect for what he needs it for. Do not be tricked with its basic features, the Chrome OS system makes it very fast, is a laptop for light work as docs, spreadsheets browsing the internet and watching movies streaming, you can have multiple tabs open and does not freeze

Not Worth the Frustration
I ordered this HP Chromebook for my kindergartener to do homework on, but I didn’t realize it wasn’t a touchscreen—that’s on me, so no big deal. However, the real issue is how unbelievably slow it is.Since it wasn’t ideal for my child, I decided to use it for personal tasks instead of relying on my work laptop. But even with just email and Excel, this Chromebook struggles. Logging in takes forever, and once it finally loads, even the simplest tasks feel like a chore. I spend more time waiting for the computer to catch up than actually getting anything done.If you need something fast and efficient, this is not it.
