This is a solid product in construction, electronics, materials, software, integration and operation, in first instance the ergonomics release a lot of stress in the shoulder, elbow and wrist as you don't need to displace it all over your desk (you can operate it in very small desks even with 3 monitors), in second instance it release all the strain in your hand as you don't need to hold it or grab it, you just rest your hand in the big pad and operates it with the big track ball which provides control and precision (if this is your first time with a trackball you will need a few hours to train your hand and brain to reach full performance and precision). Another big strength of the product are the 8 fully adjustable and programmable buttons, the number of operations you can get with the mouse is soaring as you can combine 8 mouse buttons with keyboard keys to automate operations (8 mouse buttons and 4 keyboard keys give you 40 operations you can automate). You can use official software comming from Elecom which is pretty complete or in Mac you can extend the tunning possibilities with steermouse (paid app). Alkaline batteries last forever, we can talk about months with not need to turning it off, you can adjust the speed on the fly with the build in switch, you can quickly and easily release the ball for cleaning.In terms of durability and compared with other brands which needs to be replace every 6 months my actual HUGE is 2 years old.Few improvement I would suggest for coming version is to add bluetooth in order to release the usb port used by the dongle, maybe make it multi device to use it in multiple computers (kvm type) make it in different colours and why not with customizable ball.

It isn't my old trackball but since they stopped making those ages ago I had to try something new. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I expected that this would feel less good in hand with the ball placement. It doesn't. I did hope for the tuning and tweaking options of my old standby, or at least most of them, but that's the one place this has fallen short.All in all though, well worth the purchase and I hope it lasts at least as long as my previous.

First time using a finger trackball mouse so I can’t compare to others. With that said so far I like it. It did take some adjustment as I have never used one prior. After a few hours I was able to get the hang of it. This mouse is large. I have medium-large hands and it fits my hand well. I do like how you can remap the buttons to other functions. You have to download it from Elecom which is an easy task. Overall I think this a little pricy for a mouse but other mouses on the market are almost double the cost of this mouse.

At the outset, let me say that this is a fairly good product. The trackball runs very smoothly, as does the scroll. But it has its share of drawbacks. To put this into context, I have been using the Microsoft Trackball Explorer Mouse for a couple decades now......there are people who will recondition them, and each of my "fleet" of 4 has been reconditioned at least once. I am nevertheless always on the lookout for something that can replace them, so when I saw this device it seemed a good idea to check it out.The biggest drawback is that in spite of its size--its more the size of a rat than a mouse--the buttons are best suited for people with very small hands. I can reach them, but more than once I have hit two buttons at the same time. The second drawback--and in no way do I mean this to sound racist--is that the accompanying printed material and the Mouse Assistant software are very typical of the kind of thing described by Clint Eastwood in the movie, "Space Cowboys". Yes, it is an easy initial installation, loading the drivers, etc. But configuring it using the Mouse Assistant......well, be prepared to be frustrated.My plan is to use this with my laptop when I travel. That will give me a good idea how rugged it is. So far it has held up pretty well. The wireless function has been trouble-free as well. I just wish the buttons were easier to use.

This Trackball Mouse is very impressive. I didn't know it was going to have a built in cushion that my palm & wrist rests on. Very comfortable for someone who has severe carpal tunnel. The ball moves effortly. I can't wait to decide which buttons I want to program for what. Very easy to adapt to right out of the box. I will be using this Trackball for graphics and making wedding videos. When I have time I will be using it for gaming. Such a very universal device, you would think it would have a higher pricetag. I've had many wireless trackballs in the past that had problems with the trackball getting stuck and not moving smoothly. After many years of updated technology I decided to try a different manufacturer. I am so happy I did. Do yourself a favor, take the plunge and try this mouse out for yourself. What are you waiting for?

I have used several trackball mice over the years, always large ball mice like this one. On balance, this is my favorite so far. The form factor is very ergonomic, although sadly on the small side for my very large hands - but honestly, that's unsurprising. It is, however, a large mouse. So far as form, I prefer the form of the ploopy but this Elecom has a much smoother ball, and a much more reliable scroll wheel so it is my favorite. I have also owned kensington trackball mice which were also excellent and very smooth, but both broke within a year. Hopefully this elecom will last me better.

Strepitoso è l'unica parola per definirlo. 7 tasti+1 rotella multifunzione (oltre la rotazione la puoi schiacciare ma anche spingendola in alto o in basso avere altre 2 funzioni) per un totale di 8 selezioni programmabili, in realtà anche il tasto Destro e Sinistro sono programmabili per un totale di 10 funzioni ma poi come fare a selezionare? Personalmente ho programmato Copia, Incolla, Invio, Salva con nome, Muto (i tasti, pagina avanti e pagina indietro del browser, non li ho variati) selezionandoli direttamente dal trackball senza usare la tastiera. Con il suo programma, scaricabile dal suo sito, si possono creare diversi profili in modo da personalizzare i tasti per diversi scenari (gioco, musica, lavoro, etc...) senza doverli più riprogrammare, bisogna solo selezionare il profilo preparato in precedenza e ci si ritrova i tasti programmati senza doverli variare uno a uno tutte le volte. Il fatto che sia sovradimensionato permette di appoggiarci sopra tutta la mano. Una volta che ci si ricorda come abbiamo programmato i tasti è una goduria usarlo.

Todo perfecto, muy contento con la compra, el articulo llego con 10 días de adelanto a la fecha de entrega, funciona perfectamente sin ningún problema, lo recomiendo 100x100.

Lieferung und Verpackung zuverlässig und sehr angenehm. Damit meine ich1. War Zollbefreit, in einer vertrauenserweckenden, schönen Verpackung und2. kam zum frühest genannten Termin an.Vorab: War immer ein Liebhaber vom Logitech Trackman. Vor 2 Jahren musste ich mich notgedrungen (Trackman war mir mit €300 als gebrauchter Artikel zu Teuer) für einen MX570 Trackball von Logitech entscheiden, zu dem ich mich noch äussern werde.Was ich aber immer schon bei Logitech Eingabegeräten bemängelt habe, egal ob Maus oder Tastatur, ist die Lebensdauer der Tasten (Microschalter). So war ich schon des öfteren dabei, an meinen Trackmans (3 in 15 Jahren) die Microschalter aus/ein/umzulöten weil sie geprellt oder nicht mehr reagiert haben. Irgendwann hat aber immer die Platine mechanisch aufgegeben. Die Logitech MX570 fängt auch zu Prellen an (knapp 2Jahre in Gebrauch), aber auf der Teuer verkauften, billigbestückten Platine habe ich keine Lust mehr zu löten. Hoffentlich hat da Elecom bessere Bauteile. Dies wird sich zeigen.Von den Bewertungen habe ich alle gelesen und kann den positiven Bewertungen über 4 Sterne bisher nur Zustimmen.Deshalb möchte ich mich den negativen Bewertungen widmen.Hier wurden meist folgende Mängel beanstandet:a: Software -> Das problem mit den asiatischen Zeichen hatte ich nicht, allerdings mußte ich schon nach der richtigen Version im WWW suchen (Dafür 1/2 Stern abzug, obwohl das bei Logitech auch nicht immer ganz so einfach ist). Die Software ist nicht in Deutsch, immerhin in Englisch verfügbar (Dafür noch 1/2 Stern abzug). Allerdings ist die Qualität der Software unter Win10 wesentlich besser als das was Logitech für seine Trackball-Produkte (und andere) anbietet. Die Software für die Kalibrierung des Trackman von Logitech war "naja" mit viel gefummel in Ordnung (unter Win7 befriedigend, Win10 ausreichend), beim MX570 wurde nicht mal das richtige Bild zum Produkt angezeigt, eine Programmierung der Tasten war nicht möglich - eine Zumutung! Vor allem die Kalibrierung Oben/Unten - eine Katastrophe - ich sage nur: SetPoint und MX570 - wie Grausam, schämt Euch bei Logitech! Zum Glück hat das Elecom in der Software besser gelöst (Dafür insgesamt 1 Stern plus).b: Größe -> Mit 1,83m Körpergröße habe ich wohl im Durchschnitt eher größere Hände. Um den Trackball effizient bedienen zu können, lege ich den Mittelfinger etwas angewinkelt (ca. 50°) auf den höchsten Punkt des Trackball. Damit liegt mein Handballen bequem und flexibel auf der gelartigen Auflage. Wären meine Hände 3cm kürzer, könnte dies sogar noch bequemer sein. Bei 4cm längeren Händen müsste ich den Handballen vor das Elecom legen, dies fühlt sich aber auch gut an. Beim MX570 war das schlimmer/ähnlich bei großen Händen. Im Vergleich zum Trackman: Elecom "Big Ball" ist aus meiner Sicht definitiv besser was die Ergonomie betrifft!c: Schwergängigkeit und genauigkeit des Trackballs -> Dies ist wohl Geschmacksache!? Die "Steuerkugel" vom Trackman war etwas schwerfälliger als die des Elecom (obwohl Kleiner) und die vom MX570 gab gar kein Feedback (noch kleiner) ausser der Verschmutzungsgrad war zu hoch und selbst dann hat sich der Mauszeiger bei kleinsten, meist ungewollten Erschütterungen bewegt. Die Reinigung ist beim Elecom wesentlich einfacher als bei den genannten Logitech Geräten. Die einstellung des Trackballs von Elecom auf meine Bedürfnisse war wesentlich einfacher als ich das von Logitech gewohnt bin. Ein Rezensent hat sogar von nicht möglicher, pixelgenauer Steuerung geschrieben. Vielleicht bin ich ja da Alleine, aber einzelne Pixel sehe ich schon lange nicht mehr auf meinem Bildschirm und der hat nocht nicht mal 4K oder UHD. Um diese Pixel manuell ansteuern zu können, brauche ich wohl einen Trackball? War mir neu. Meine bisherig benuzten Eingabegeräte haben gerne mal ein paar Pixel übersprungen, das ist normal. Da ist die Leertaste auf der Tastatur ein gutes Beispiel. Reine Einstellungssache. Und da bietet die Elecom Software in Einklang mit Win10 eine gute Lösung.Hervorheben möchte ich noch das Mausrad, das durch den Daumen bedient wird. 5 Schalter - frei programierbar - Trackman is a Looser.Bitte um verzeihung, falls diese Rezension als zu Elecom-Lastig verstanden wird. Allerdings verstehe ich nicht, weshalb sinnvolle Eingabegeräte im Westen nicht mehr erhältlich sind und möchte Hersteller die das begriffen haben unterstützen.Viele Grüße (vor allen an Elecom)Carsten

ma vieille trackman de logitech à cessée de vire (rip) du-coup il m'a fallu un équivalent ... je me suis laissé tenter par cette souris index !le verdict est positif ! prise en main très confort souris très précise et la boule est d'une fluidité surprenante !!!La souris est plutot bien finie élégante elle trouve sa place sur un bureau sans difficultés!la prise en main nécessite quelques jours pour avoir le reflex de chaque bouton (car il y en a pas mal )de plus dans un premier temps si vous avez la flemme d'installer les pilotes ... et bien les fonctions de base sont tout de suite reconnus !( clic G et D, roulette et aussi Bouton suivant et précédent )bilan c'est une trackball pratique élégante et fonctionnelle!je la recommande sans hésiter
