The parcel box itself is generally okay. However, it is not cheap and the reason for this purchase was to resolve ongoing problems I was having with deliveries (particularly from certain sources) being dumped randomly on my doorstep or placed in other unsecure places - so I feel obliged to be honest about my results, some of which are not the fault of the product itself.The first issue, which has already been mentioned by a previous reviewer, is the fact that it doesn't spring closed, which means it is possible for an inept delivery person to leave a package on the receiving area and not close the box so that it drops into the secure area.The other issue, which in many ways I find more pressing, is the fact that in my street at least, none of the delivery people seem to be able to use this box for it's intended purpose, which I find bizarre as you hardly need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. Since purchasing this product, almost everything I have ordered from certain sources has been delivered to neighbours up to 10 doors away, rather than deposited in this box. Items I have ordered from other places have been placed behind my recycling bin or in other "secure locations", rather than deposited in the box. And today, my delivery was wedged into the gap between the receiving area and the door - clearly the delivery person didn't understand what they were supposed to do (ie open the box fully, place the package on the receiving area, then close the box). I cannot believe that professional delivery personnel do not seem to understand what this box is for or how it works, so very disappointingly, and at no real fault of the product itself, at the moment it feels very much like a very big waste of £200.

Great size for receiving parcel and letters and saves the couriers having to come in through the gate (and the dogs escaping when they leave it open).The only negative is that the combination lock is low down and very fiddly to open when it's cold and/or wet.

Well Built, easy to read instructions. The fittings may not be suitable for where you may want to fit it.

Ideal parcel & post box very secure

It's quite a large box but plenty of substantial fixing points to hang it on the wall or bolt to the floor. I'm a little surprised that the parcel door doesn't have any kind of return spring so we will have to see if any of the couriers leave the for ope or not. The combo lock is a little fiddly but has instructions how to change it if the need arises. Overall our first impressions are good ones so we will have to see how it goes.Update: Box has worked very well but we had a small problem with the bar code fading. I can't speak highly enough of Homescapes response. They sent out a new, weather proof bar code straight away without hesitation. Great company to do business with.

The box itself is fantastic and it works for all couriers except Royal Mail. If an item delivered to you requires a signature, Royal Mail will NOT accept the unique barcode as proof of receipt and you'll just find a "something for you" card left in your box. Very frustrating and having taken it up with Royal Mail head office this is confirmed as their policy. Royal Mail will deliver regular post to the box but nothing that requires a signature or proof of delivery.
