OMG. THEY WORK SO WELL!!!
Our dog is older and has a brain tumor. To slow its progress and buy time before we have to lose her (she’s not in pain or suffering but the end is inevitable), she’s on pills three times a day. Both pills and capsules. I tried cheese, peanut butter, etc. no matter what we did she picked the pills out. She got to the point of grinding on the tablets and opening the capsules and mixing it with wet food but she still knew it was there and it was a fight to get her to take her medicine. I was complaining to a friend and she said to try the Greenies Pill Pockets. She said they work BUT get the stinkiest ones. She said her last dog had the same issue with meds and all the tricks didn’t work and she tried the peanut butters ones and nothing. But then she tried the hickory and it was a score. She said the stronger scent overpowers their ability to smell of the pills if you have a pickier dog. I’m willing to try anyone thing once so ok. We ordered a small bag. Hickory flavor.HOLY HECK!!! It worked. I shoved both her capsule and her tablet in one pocket, mushed it closed, and handed it to her. She gobbled it up. In fact she likes them SO MUCH she will not eat her food until she gets her pill pocket treat! If you buy the capsule ones you can fit a small tablet and a capsule inside and mush it closed so the contents are virtually all covered. Sometimes I buy the tablet ones by accident so she gets two at once but the capsules don’t fit well in the tablet ones. So save yourself the griefIf your dog won’t even eat the other flavors try the hickory. They smell like beef jerky. But they work. Every time. She actually wants her pills now. No fight. Just a happy dog and happy owner!

Makes Pill Time a Breeze—But Check the Ingredients
I've been using Greenies Pill Pockets in the Large Size for Capsules, and they’ve completely transformed the way I give my dog his medication.**Effectiveness:**These pill pockets are a game-changer. Their soft and flexible texture allows me to effortlessly insert a capsule and mold it around the pill, completely hiding it. My dog, who once dreaded taking his medication, now eagerly gobbles it down without a second thought.**Taste & Texture:**The chicken flavor is a definite winner for my dog. The treats are pliable enough to mold comfortably around the pill, yet firm enough to keep their shape, ensuring the hidden medication remains a mystery until it’s consumed.**Ingredients:**Each treat is made with a well-thought-out selection of ingredients:- Chicken- Glycerin- Wheat Flour- Wheat Gluten- Vegetable Oil- Dried Corn Syrup- Natural Flavor- Natural Cheese Flavor- Water- Citric Acid (preservative)- Mixed Tocopherols (preservative)- Vinegar- Rosemary ExtractKeep in mind that these treats do contain wheat and corn syrup, which could be a concern for dogs with dietary restrictions or allergies.**Packaging & Value:**With a 15.8 oz package containing 60 pill pockets, you get excellent value for regular medication routines. The resealable bag is a nice touch, keeping the treats fresh for future use.**Conclusion:**Greenies Pill Pockets have made the once-difficult task of administering medication to my dog surprisingly easy and stress-free. While they might not be ideal for every dog due to specific dietary needs, for many, they are an essential tool for ensuring consistent medication adherence. They look cute. They don’t smell bad and they aren’t too thick.

I Can't Believe Its Not Butter
I have distinct memories of giving my dogs pills as a kid. Or shall I say I have distinct memories of the battles we had trying to give our dogs pills. One of our dogs was a master at the cheeking, no matter how much butter we put on it.Bless the makers of these pill pockets though. Gone are the days of rubbing the throat or having to check cheek pockets. Now I just pop the pill in one of these and my dog comes running. Some mornings she will only eat her pill pocket and wait to eat her breakfast later.I like that they are soft and quite malleable. Our dog had to be on a few pills post surgery and I found that I could sneak a few pills into each pill pocket.Even if you don't need to give your dog pills every day, these are still good to have one hand for those just in case moments.

Absolutely phenomenal
My parents left for 2 weeks and on the first day their great Dane fell ill. It's 3 pills every 8 hours, which you can imagine becomes a lot harder when their dog refuses every food, treat or trick we've tried. My aunt sent me this, and I figured why not. I tried everything else.Kid you not, he doesn't notice the pills inside and I actually cried when he first took them with ease and enjoyed them. If your dog is picky, or you just don't know where to start looking, I'd honestly try this brand first.I certainly wish I would have lol

These Pill Pockets Work The Best
The difference between Greenie Pill Pockets and others is that these are very malleable. For most pills I can break them in half and put a pill in each half. My dog developed seizures and is currently taking 22 pills daily plus some powdery stuff. Yup, 22 pills, 11 twice a day. I've put them in her food, in other pill pockets and wrapped in sliced cheese. Some days she just gets tired of eating pills in pill pockets and won't eat anything. Lately I have been using whipped cream in a little bowl to dip the end of the pill pockets in before giving them to her. She seems to really like that. I just hope eating all these pill pockets, that they are as nutritious as Greenie claims.Another method I used on a previous dog was to grind her pills into a powder, mix that into some baby food then use a syringe to inject the concoction into the back of the lips. That worked really well. However, I can't do that will the seizure medications as some say not to grind them up. So, we'll see how long the pill pockets with a little whipped cream strategy lasts.

Difficult to reform to pill.
I didn't look at the date of manufacture, but the pill pocket is hard to reform size without cracking up.
