Easy for beginners to use and helps to avoid accidents!I am a totally beginner to do the drilling. Recently I moved to a new house, I have had a few jobs stacking up, as I need to hang up my pictures, clocks, or something else on the wall, so does the television. So it is very important for me to find one good stud finder. I need it to help me detect things inside the wall. One of my main concerns putting stuff up on walls is the possibility of drilling through wires and pipes. Having finally bought this stud finder I was able to find safe wall areas to get a few jobs done. This device works fine. It comes with a user manual and it's easy to follow the steps. It is a very handy tool. The price for this one is good for me and it does its work, everything goes smoothly at the moment so I'm quite satisfied with it. In a word, this device is very easy to use and makes sure you don’t make expensive mistakes or kill yourself in the process. Does just what it says. Excellent！Highly recommended！

This seems to be very good value for money. It achieves similar functions to named brands for a fraction of the price.There is no battery included, but once inserted, I was able to quickly learn how to use the product. I've tested it in areas where I know there to be pipes, live wires and studs and it detected all of them without issue.I give 4 stars due to two reasons:1. Detection took a couple of passes of an area before it was picked up on one occasion. This may have been due to the calibration or the battery, but this only happened once in several times of using it. But as long as you apply some common sense when trying to find objects in a wall and pass over a couple of times to double check, you'll be fine.2. The plastic is slightly cheap feeling, one or two drops onto a hard surface may not leave the product in a healthy state, but this remains to be seen. It's certainly not the cheapest plastic ever, so it may do OK, but I definitely prefer my tools to feel sturdier.

In my previous house with solid walls this appears to be pretty useless alarming when electric cables were clearly not present.. in my new build house it’s more reliable... but still feels a little too vague to give me confidence to start drilling holes..It’s possible I was expecting too much and only tested on electrical.Also note that purchasers are promised a free gift for leaving a review so may encourage more positive reviews... I will see if I still get a free gift for a non 5 star review

Very prompt delivery - the wall scanner is easy to use and has a straightforward interface and info screen. Easy to calibrate and switch between the four different scan modes - stud finder, deep scan, metal scan and AC scan. Should be very useful for DIY or handyman work, or simply home use when drilling into walls safely. Easy enough for anyone to use but performs a very important function. Very happy with my purchase and I'm sure I will find it useful for a long time to come. I can't attest to its life span as only recently purchased but it seems well constructed and have had no problems so far..

Bought this stop my husband drilling countless holes all over the place only to (usually) find out he's missed the studs and the shelves won’t hold!Very easy to set up and use, stairgates went up in no time and safely for once. So did the wall bracket for the TV. Very pleased with the purchase, would definitely recommend!

I'm not sure about this as it kept showing metal pipes in the floor when there was nothing albeit it gave me more confidence and found copper pipes in floor and wall

Used the product to check a wall for live wires when drilling a number of holes to fit some shelves. Found the scanner to be extremely accurate in helping me avoid a number of live wires! The scanner illustrates the strength of the signal and helps pinpoint accurately where the wire is. An excellent addition to the toolbox. Only slight negative is having to provide a battery for the device.

I used this product mainly to avoid drilling through our gas and water pipes.It does its job well.Recommended.
